What gave you the high during your addiction?

For me it was more the type of woman that I would look for. As for the act, I pretty much prefered vanilla type scenes and was turned off by anything extreme, violent, or degrading.

 

Almost all body types and most kinds. The spectrum of what I find attractive is very broad. The weird thing is objectively speaking I use to watch porn where the women were less attractive then my wife. I wonder what that's about.

 

No I searched for specific things but those things varied widely day to day or session to session. It could be very large curvy BBW girls all the way to very thin almost anorexic. Any race, hair color, etc. Some acts were off putting if they were too extreme or violent or emphasized age gaps etc. There were also acts that outweighed the what the woman looked like and there were women that looked a certain way that would cause you to ignore the act they performed. Like I said it varied widely.

 

Both LOL! I did still want to have sex with her and sometimes would still want porn. My situation might be unique but I think that women over think the factor of female attractiveness in male sexuality. I believe that my porn addiction was more the result of craving a disconnection. Like I can view women who I don't need to emotionally connect with. They won't see my soul or something. Real sex is great! But one of the characteristic of it in a loving relationship is that you give a part or yourself away to the other person and they to you. Sometimes I just want to be selfish. It's scary to be vulnerable and feel the highs and lows of real intimacy.

 

TBH, mostly its was kinky stuff like girls getting strapped to beds and chains etc. and perhaps asians and brunettes turn me on the most in most porn i've watched.

 

that was something i wished, tbh i havent tried to be in a relationship yet (im still bit young). but i believe your husband does it because i believe it's a fun thing to try out, also it kinda feels dominating and feel more in charge in the moment

I was in to kinky stuff as well, but i had no desire to act on it in real life. My porn self and my real self are like two different people. I looked at all different physical types of women depending on my mood, but the biggest turn on for me was blond girls with decent bust who looked like real people and not too skanky.

 

I was captured by the endless novelty of the different categories and genres, i couldn't tell you from one day to the next what was arousing it was like an un predictable quirkiness. There were some genres i tended to go to more often than others but in general it was a vast mix. There are multiple categories for each letter of the alphabet and i'm the kind of person who wanted to see all of them. It was this addictive and compulsive behaviour that landed me in serious trouble later on in life due to progression on to really bad stuff.

Today i'm over 3 years clean from pornography and i know it's possible to over come it. I have not had a relationship for about 12 years or been intimate with another woman for that long because i chose porn over pursuing a relationship, it also affected my self esteem and increased my anxiety around women.
