What does this mean?

  1. Hey.
It's my second year on nofap, and things are getting just worse. Previous year I had really really good streaks. Like 169 days, 3 times 30 days and a little bit more. This year, the best I've done so far is maybe 54 days.
I used to be so powerful, what is wrong with me? No matter how hard I try it seems like I have NO POWER at all. Why? I used to run 10km like nothing.
This year, for some stupid reason I started smoking. Now I have quit it. I also drank like 3 times. Done with it, but nofap? Goddamnit. Nofap feels like shit to be honest.
I'm reading books, trying to get back on track with running, gym etc., but it all seems so hard, even tho it was really easy.
Does this mean that success is close or what? Help me please with this question, I want to know.

  2. My year has been like that as well. Your strategy is broken on some fundamental level. Until you improve your foundation, you cannot build up. I would recommend trying to live in a completely different way - shake things up, crack down on your bad habits, etc. Start with a modest set of goals and then increase them as you get better.

Well man, you have to accept that this global pandemic affected all of us. Even if your country or your familiy were the less affected in the world, you still have to deal with changes in your daily life.

Self control begets self control. When you are in control of your good habits, it is easier to make and keep good habits. When you break good habits or acquire bad habits the same is true.

This is not to say that someone can beat pornography addiction by simply creating good habits, but fostering bad habits can definitely play a role in ones self control.

Whenever I hear this, I think the person is just ignoring the safety of those around them. Going out to restaurants, gathering with friends, not wearing a mask, getting looks and hopefully shouts for such things, etc.
It causes a total knee jerk reaction, this pandemic really has changed things.

  7. Covid is just another form of flu. You see, let's count those, who have died from smoking. Let's just put up a big counter, that counts down how many die from heart diseases, cancer. Let's count the ones that die in car accidents. You will see some wicked stuff.
Thing is, here in my country, Covid is not what it's like in USA or UK, China, Brazil etc. We have maybe around 25-30 dead from Covid since it started here. We gather around in public places, abnormal amounts of people if you ask me (abnormal for times like these) and nobody gives a shit. I don't hear that people would get sick or something. After big concerts, gatherings - there are no announcments about like 200 people getting sick or whatever. Biggest that has been there is probably 18 people in one day, I mean, recently.
So I don't really think that covid has changed personaly my mentality, situation or whatsoever.

    Flu: 34,000
    Car accidents: 36,560
COVID-19: 198,682 (in the 6 months it has been active in USA, estimations show over 400k by 12 months)
    Smoking: 480,000
    Cancer: 600,000
    Heart Disease: 655,000

These are the annual deaths in USA of what you mentioned, and the 6 month total for COVID-19. So far, COVID has already killed almost 6 times more people than flu does in a year, and is estimated to rival smoking.

In other words, every month COVID-19 is killing roughly the same amount of people that die of flu each year.

No, COVID-19 is not just another flu. Don't be so foolish man.

  9. Well, to ME it is, since I'm not from USA :)
I do understand that it is more than a flu by now (in USA and other bigger countries), I was wrong, okay, I admit. But as I said, in my situation it's not. My country doesn't feel really badly affected by it. I'm not from USA, so to me, as I said, Covid means nothing.
Covid is also pretty fucking fishy, if you ask me.
By the way... By smoking I don't mean whatever your goddamn doctors say or statistics say. I'm talking about heart diseases, cancer - that's what causes smokers to die. You don't die from smoking, you die from disieases that smoking causes :)
But now stop, I asked different question, please don't go off-topic here, I still want to understand it :)

To update my statistics, Covid-19 is now the number one cause of death in America. Surpassing even heart disease.

But of course, that means nothing to you, right?

  11. But to me Covid still doesn't mean shit. I have a suspision that I had it, but it didn't mess up nothing for me.

  12. Also, it doesn't mean nothing to me, cause those are Americans. I'm not an American, I'm not from America. Everyone dies sooner or later. Why would it mean something to me? Those people I don't know.
It would mean something to me, if Covid wouldn't allow me to get out of the bed or something similar.
Even if they close shops once in a while here or let's say limit my freedom, it still doesn't matter to me. I'm free to do my own thing anyway.
