What actually happens during withdrawal?

So the first six days of this streak were easier than the previous ones. I made some mental adjustments, have gotten porn out of my life, and is resist fantasizing about anything as much as possible (my trigger internet model and my wife, who I am away from right now). Yesterday the urges are growing.

I've still resisted all edging, which I think is key. My brain keeps demanding I pull my triggers facebook page up, but I am resisting so far.

Are the withdrawals/urges little dopamine shots my brain is giving itself? I'm curious as to what is actually going on in there.

I'm sort of feeling the same way as urges for the triggers keep on popping up in my mind. I'm not exactly sure what causes them, but I think it's because your brain is demanding more dopamine to feel normal, since it got desensitized from normal life by the rush porn was giving you. Just remember that in time, your brain will rewire itself and come back to normal if you stay away from PMO long enough. What usually helps me with the urges is keeping myself busy, and finding fun things to do that can eventually replace PMO and make my life better. Hope this helped and good luck!

Basically yes your brain is sprinkling out some dopamine to motivate you to PMO. It's giving you a slight feeling of pleasure and craving to get you to cave in and give it the full blast of dope. This can get stronger over time until you are re-sensitized. If you are an every day PMOer this is usually when nofappers experience the "flatline." Your brain goes "well he's not falling for this, I better try something different" and gives up --- no more little dopamine shots that trigger urges; just flatness and sometimes lack of motivation and other uncomfortable symptoms...which sucks but is an important part of the recovery process. And every time you get out of these flatlines (can be quick or long depending on the person) you will start feeling noticeably better because your brain is less focused on the huge PMO rush and has more dopamine/pleasure flowing so you can enjoy other healthy aspects of life.

^ tried my best at explaining it haha but if you browse through yourbrainonporn.com they go into good detail on all of this
