Currently I am on a good streak of around 35 days of no PMO. My PMO habit included asking people in chat rooms for suggestions of pornstars ("I Need Pornstar Suggestions"), looking up all of the suggestions they listed, and then eventually masturbating to the porn videos of my favorite option that they listed. Earlier today I went on the chat room and said "I Need Pornstar Suggestions", and watched as the people responded with their favorites. This time I did not search up any pictures of the Pornstars or Masturabate at all. Even though I did not view any pictures/porn of the pornstars I still felt a rush in my body/brain every time that someone would respond with a Pornstar name. The rush felt very similar to that of when I would masturbate and watch porn. My question is Does this effect me in the same way as porn? Does anyone know why I felt a rush without actually viewing any Pictures? Was it because I already knew what the pornstars looked like in my Head? All answers are appreciated.

  2. That’s how addiction works in the brain. The anticipation and seeking of the preferred drug of choice gives a greater rush than the actual indulging in it.
