Until when should I feel mentally retarded

    I always suffer from the brain fog
    I study a field that needs much logic and reasoning, and I wish I can get rid of the pmo effects on my brain asap!
    I feel tortured .. I want to when will this stop!
    I had a 20 days streak but stopped today and gonna start again, this is a streak after a series of streaks of about 10 days I have been on these streaks for a couple of months , consider I am on 90 days hardmode on what day approximately should I equivalently be in now?

    I feel it varies from one individual to the next. Perhaps others will have better answers.

  3. Give one month per year of addiction. Thats the best answer Id have. Its not 100% scientific, but its just to aim at staying away from P as long as it could be. You will stsrt feeling progress from the first month, and if you stsrt doing activities for e.g working out, it will speed up your healing progress. I felt mentally well past day 60.

    I have all the problems you said.
    Some days are great I feel I am about to be a genies at point, then suddenly I feel like a dump, I get better, but that feeling you mix things up even the thoughts in your mind become mixed up with mistakes , it makes me feel...very bad, I think you know what I mean.

    I have been going in and out of 10 day steaks or so for months, I can't say which day in the equivalent hard mode I am in.
    But I feel like there is activity in the brain, like "ants walking inside it", it is strange to start realise the front part of my brain is stating to get warm at times, as if it wasn't existing in my brain
     
  6. When you quit PMO, I think your brain begins subconscious restructuring... I mean, think about it, when you learn something or forget something, you don't feel it happening. But, when your brain is doing one thing, it's not doing another. Anyway, I'll explain more below, but I sympathize as someone who studies a field that requires my logical reasoning powers to be at their best.

    So, some of your brain power is being taken up by this subconscious restructuring, and it's borrowing from the area of your brain that does logical reasoning, which in your particular brain probably has some strong fucking neurons given your field of study. I read about this in a neuroscience book, the neurons actually kind of ask each other for a chemical helping hand if one part of the brain is unusually engaged. Think for an easy example about how when you are deep in the studying zone, you might not realize you're hungry until you feel like you're starving.

    Those neurons will tire out too temporarily, and maybe allow you to get back to the height of your logical reasoning powers. There's no telling precisely when, but you won't have to wait forever.

    Keep in mind too, when you were busy fapping, creating imbalances of neurotransmitters and hormones for your brain to have to cope with... that wasn't good for your logical reasoning either, you just got used to it as the status quo. Your reboot is taking you out of the status quo, but in the long run with everything rebalanced you will be in a way better position to devote your mental resources to what you want to devote them to, the subconscious restructuring (at least that part) will stop and you'll be unlocked.

    My point is dude, don't go back to fapping. Just wait this out and do your best to get what you need to do done.

    Don't worry about me getting back, I have read a lot about the problems associated with pmo that the thought of getting back is now a nightmare!
    It seems you read about this stuff, do you think that brain games improve the healing process?
    When I play them I feel changes in my brain and I get better.
    When I play my logical reasoning skills get lower for a day or more, then they start to improve, they are like waves and every wave makes me better than the one before
    These waves used to happen without games but with games the frequency is higher.
     
  8. might take a while but take heart, there are benefits that come soon. you just need to set your mind on not having an O. just keep going about your day, forget the darn O's . I wish I could take that advice. I am only on day three again. I did go quite a while, with out, and not having brain fog is so great!!!! it is worth the wait!!!!!!
