    -TRIGGER WARNING-
Here I will express a short view on something I've seen commonly throughout the internet. It's essentially a type of justification for masturbation, which says that "masturbation is how you find out what you like in sex."
Maybe it might be just my way of seeing, but I've never seen what I like in sex, and anything I "liked" came from unrealistic expectations from porn. Through all the times I've unfortunately indulged I never got to know what I enjoyed in sex apart from what I like in pornography. This is a huge lie in my opinion by masturbation supporters to justify masturbation, and do not fall for this trap!
Disclaimer: This is my opinion, and maybe everything expressed could be just me, and perhaps others have found what they enjoyed.

  2. Owari, its a similar set of questions I used to ask myself when watching porn. The different categories will show you what you like in sex. In fact I thought I will train to be a SEX GOD at a young age so that when I'm all grown up, legal, macho, hairy and a ladies man, I will be the epitome of a walking, talking orgasm for women. :p you see where this is going right, I am here now. Half my life, blown away into the dust and weaker for having started PMOing. I think porn is just grotesque. As for masturbation, I do not agree with the justifiers because they haven't explored the depth of this activity. Imo, if you're not willing to embrace an activity into your soul, this life is too short to just having it floating around and visiting it now and then. I guess, it's my addictive personality but... there's no room for masturbation, it's like saying, if there are no studies that suggest smoking is bad for you... hey, it's great if you don't die coughing, burned out and gasping for air. Checkout how proudly they used to advertise smoking. Next... is drinking... same old thing. It's a vice, there's absolutely no reason to invite it into your life just so that... once in a while, you can take the edge off. I DON'T want to take the edge off.. that's what I've been doing ALL ALONG with PMO and any other addiction I've had. Let me live this life fully without the tools of self-destruction, stagnation and unbridled hedonistic nihilism... before I die. And I was a dead man when on PMO. A walking corpse... the great lie my friend is greater than we can ever fathom. Once we get it though... we should never turn back to the days when we were complacent in living with it.

Wow, you summed it up. I sure get it now.

  4. These people are justifying killing themselves. They have been indoctrinated into a trap to keep them from realizing their full potential. I'm glad I didn't waste any more than 3 years on this bs. If you ever think about watching porn, I would tell you to not watch that filth, it's literally killing you!

  5. I also believe that porn was created by the government, or some higher force, to prevent us from realizing our potential so they could rule over us while we stay complacent. I won't be a slave to a computer!

Oh my gosh, you really are awake aren't you? Yes I most certainly think that porn is one of the many ways some powers that be want to enslave us.

I read through all of this and this is absolutely amazing! It sums up a lot about PMOing and addiction. People try to justify these type of things to give it more backing so they can legitimately have it in their lives, and unfortunately a lot of drug and porn addicts, smokers, and alchoholics do this. I think what you said should be apart of its own thread, as the message is amazing.
It reminds me a lot about smoking and other addicts. My mother is a gambling addict and when I asked her about it she actually said she gambles to "sit down, relax and forget." This is similar if not identical to what you said. If you didn't waste more than 3 years, you are a lot luckier than some who have wasted decades on addiction! :)

You bring up a good point. Have you noticed how in countries like the US, pornography, drinking, tabacco, etc. is all legal? People complain about illegal drugs but tobacco, drinking, gambling, and pornography are akin them, but even worse because they're widespread and legal.

  9. Could be but I was also thinking they make these things illegal to stigmatize them and punish people. Then people like us are too embarrassed or too ashamed or too scared to say anything about it. Who freaking knows anymore?

They make these things illegal so they can fill up the prisons with slave labor for big companies.

Well if we're scared or ashamed we're secluded into our own addictions. Another thing to note is that the amount of money made from these addictions are most likely in the trillions, so if the government is behind them they have to keep people addicted somehow. I'm sure there's many more PMO addicts too scared to find help.
Also, noticably we have all of these kind of things legal, and still the US has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world. Makes you think of the logic.

It's totally okay, we (or at least I) appreciate you sharing your honest story. My heart feels for you and it's difficult to imagine what a hard time that must've been for you :( I never even had to experience such loss, I just got hooked on the stimulation. You're pulling yourself out of this at 16 years old, though, that's something to truly be proud of :)

  15. SilentAce, that's extremely brave of you to share - keep spilling honesty my brother. To everyone one of us who's discovered NoFap and realized that PMO was, is and will always be a mistake! We are the underdogs now, but we will be tomorrow's champions. The truth is bitter, the resulting anger, pain and struggle around our recovery is more real than anything PMO related. I am proud of us - whether the state took advantage of us (and our childhood), whether our friends did (peer-pressured into PMO), or whether we inflicted PMO as a punishment on ourselves for the way we broke our promise of life to ourselves... it no longer can hold us down. Now we KNOW the truth and we are MUCH better off for it. Keep steady fellas because this time, we're on top and we're staying in the driver's seat for as long as we want. Godspeed!

I love how this site says "seize control of your sexuality" on the home page. When you abstain from PMO you do more than clear up time for better projects, get motivated to have real sexual encounters with real people, and spend less time alone in front of the computer (though all these things are true), but you really gain power and control over all of your life. There is nothing, no area of your life that no PMO will not assist. Our sexual energy is basically just our life energy, and when we use it wisely we gain immense power.

  17. I have tossed out my addiction to porn. Now I have an addiction for control of my life. I feel very powerful, like I can do anything if I put my mind to it.

  19. Truth has been spoken! That's why sex "feels" so good - it ignites the fire within, the body, mind and soul can be dazzlingly sparking to have us step outside of ourselves, it's supposed to be enlightening and the next stage of connection with another human being, another life form to connect with the larger life more than ever before. What it's not meant to be is... reduced to an exercise by exploitative industries to be put up as a 2D representation by selling the idea on the lie that not only is what they're selling you (and INDEED selling you because they're BUYING your time when we're ready to piss it away) to be promised as MORE THAN 3D... as if PMO can solve all your problems - lonely, depressed, or horny? Here's porn... go ahead, watch it! But also that it exploits the human condition, treats our lives, our feelings and our essence as a JOKE! Get with the team - its often crossed my mind that why is porn so mainstream and PMO becoming the new drug? If NoFap desired, we could instigate an online war against such things, sure... caution must be practiced, I'm not saying let's become Al Qaeda... I'm saying if we just took down the absolute worst, the most HORRENDOUS sites we all try to forget, we can send a message that we're serious. Eh guys, just a rant opinion LOL... lots of reserve energy from no PMO you see :D haha

Ahhhhhh yes, this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sex is supposed to be a profound, spiritual experience!!!! But people have been exploiting and misusing it so much that in our culture, we think of the desire to have sex as something base and shallow  Urghhhh it makes me so mad and saddened!!
It's true, so true! Disrespect and use people's sexualities, and you're using them on the most despicable level. Only maybe murder and torture can pass it.
This would be a good idea, actually. It might save lives. Even just educating people about the dangers of porn and the horrifying reality of the porn industry could in effect stop it.
