In my introductory post a week or two ago, I had mentioned that my phone is my primary source for enabling this addiction. The computer that I am using right now was at once my primary tool for surfing porn related websites; however, I managed to install the Cold Turkey blocker and Covenant Eyes to my computer, which has effectively neutered this device's ability to be used for that sort of evil. It worked beautifully for a short time.
My next challenge is my phone. I have complete control over my phone, and unlike my computer, I am able to disable Covenant Eyes without notifying the friend that I have added on there as an accountability partner, and blockers like Cold Turkey that cannot be removed from the computer do not exist for iPhones. I have installed numerous apps to act as roadblocks, and have tried creating random passwords to my screen time and content blockers, yet in the end I am still able to unlock every single one and access the websites that at this point probably know me on a first name basis.
I am quite literally at war against myself, and I am trying to outwit myself and force myself to forget my passwords (aka "Throw away the key").
I need help in setting up a system that will not allow me access to any pornographic websites or social media sites for my iPhone.
If this does not work, I'm just going to buy myself a flip phone and call it a day, even though I do need certain apps for work and school that smartphones provide.
Any help would be appreciated guys.

Perhaps try putting your phone away, somewhere out of reach when you are home/alone. In a different room, in a drawer, a closet, etc. Far away and out of reach. Don't use it at all during those alone times. Only use it while around others or when out of home. And if you must use it try not to get stuck scrolling, that's a very common thing nowadays. Use it with purpose. Don't just pick up the phone to pass the time. That's inviting the bad habits. For a time I considered switching to a flip phone as well. But similarly with school I don't feel totally comfortable doing that as we sometimes need it. Self observe the habits which allow you to fall into these holes, and set up proactive safeguards to block yourself from falling down them. On top of those safeguards, do your best to work on self reflection and in turn self control. If you truly see no other way out, then a flip phone is an option. But if you are here on this site, I am sure you can do it! You've got the power, you just need to practice controlling it.

    Godspeed brother.

yeah man get that flip phone let's go!

Is there some way that an iphone can get like someone you know to place a password on it with a set of sites that're allowed but no other sites allowed? Then they'd have to enter the password for you to access more than jsut your school/work sites, and nofap.com of course, yea?

I mean that must be possible, there are parental controls on everything nowadays

This is just my opinion, but I don't think that getting rid of your phone, computer etc is really beneficial.

I believe that in order to truly overcome this addiction, and others like it, you have to go through the urges and not avoid them. Learn to accept these urges, and just be present with them. Remember why you're doing this: to better yourself and to build an improved life. Don't hide from the challenge, because you will be tempted at one point or another. Learn to face it head on, and even when it's hard, make the right choice and stay clean.

This is what I believe works best. I pass no judgment on you though for getting a flip phone, etc, and wish you best of luck in your recovery.

  5. I agree with rob13_ that the ultimate goal is to transform our inner selves so that we don't become the type of people who don't need to react to urges/temptations. However I do think we are all on different journeys, so blocker devices/flip phones may be the right thing for you at this time.
I also have CE and Cold Turkey on my laptop and they have been very helpful.
For my phone, I have an app called Lock Me Out. I primarily slip up at night/early morning, so I set a lock from 12am to 5am. You can set it as a recurring lock. You can completely lock your phone, or lock specific apps, like the internet.
I think it is great that you are willing to make certain sacrifices for the greater good of your well being and mind.
    Wish you all the best
