Ever since I started nofap, time seems to keep going faster. Day 0 seems like yesterday to me. I remember when I used to watch P and MO'd, time would slow down and days would go by slower. Isn't it weird? Has this ever happened to you?

I have never reached 52 days, but in my case when I was on day my best (17 days), I felt I was more focused on present moment and life. I also felt more confident so I didn't feel life as something boring or difficult. For instance, when I'm on bad relapse with pmo, I have difficulties to keep concentrate, I only think about quitting pmo and time is really long...

I can relate to your observation on time going faster on nofapp. The past 20 days have gone by in a blink. Since I started the challenge, I have hardly done anything productive keeping aside my routine gym and language class. I haven't filled up the time saved from not fapping.

When I was a smoker, all activities revolved around smoking. I would smoke after reaching the tiniest milestone at work and plan the next task. I hardly ever smoke now but I am sure it took time to adjust when I stopped.

Similarly, now that I feel free from PMO, I may be in the 'breaking the shackles' phase and have not settled down to the new realities of life and need to reevaluate my priorities and start getting productive again. Also, nofap brings a newfound respect for life and precious time. I should start utilizing my time on Earth better now.

It is possible your going through a similar experience.

Time is a delusion. An invention of the human mind to calculate the movement of the planet's orbit around the Sun.

Man, I have the exact opposite feeling.

In the last few years, I had the feeling that weeks went by superfast. I think having the mind constantly excited or waiting for the next high played a big part in that perception.

Now that I've gotten much more disciplined and make a much better use of my time, I feel like I'm doing much more stuff. So probably time perception is similar, I don't feel it going "slow". But when I look back at the end of the week, the beginning seems like forever ago.

As @FutureGuitarGod said, it's all a perception thing. Your mental state plays a huge part in its speed. I've noticed that when I wake up, if I play a song I feel like it's going much faster. I guess it's because my mental processes are still somewhat slow (just a theory).

In any case, as you're truly making progress toward recovery and a better life, don't worry about it. :)

I was thinking about the time-machine effect the other day. More in relation to my alcholism (now thankfully in the past), but I think it definitely has a role to play. Addictions are often ways of cutting off from real life, including the ticking of the clock, the deadlines, the stress. I know that once I went into a pub and started drinking I considered the day dead and time and all its worries at an end. Don't they famously have no clocks in Vegas casinos? I think that must be to emphasis that air of time-free, care-free unreality?

I can't say I've noticed any changes in time perception in my current attempt here.
