I was quitting smoking and addiction to video games shortly after my nofap streak. On the 2nd week I got strong urges and became super stressful and ended up relapse on pmo after 18 days.

Do you think I was taking on too many challenges at the same time and should prioritize?

All 3 addictions were really bad. PMO was worse with the creepy vibes, social anxiety & guilt it gave me but smoking and video games from a health perspective.

Yeah, might want to tackle one addiction at a time. I would start with one that is easiest to quit and save the hardest one for last.

For me it was video games, alcohol, then pmo is by far the hardest.

The problem for me and probably everyone else with pmo is once you get the urges they just keep building & building.

  4. I tried giving up multiple addictions in one go and it did not work well for me. Some people can give up everything at the same time, and they are fine. I know someone personally, who gave up smoking and drinking alcohol on the same day, and has not looked back. So everyone is different. If you think it will be best to give up one addiction at a time then go for it.

@Stiving4peace said it best. Start with the easiest and then work yourself from there. Try giving up video games for a month. Maybe at the same time limit how many times you smoke a day or a week. You can do the same with PMO. Basically what you will be doing is tapering off slowly. I hope this help you. All the best

I like what others have said. Sometimes, taking an 'all-or-nothing' approach can be a way to set ourselves up to fail. How about breaking the process down into more manageable stages and celebrating the small wins along the way. Wishing you well.

  6. It's mindset, and also circumstances. The mind can be trained to withstand major changes and sometimes circumstances like major illness forces change also. I like the idea of radical change actually, revolutions, coup d'etat, volcano eruptions and the sort...near death experiences and the like. But the mind has to change if it's voluntary and that is mental practice.

I think I will prioritize smoking and video games.

Quitting smoking releases emotions you suppressed and can lead to depression. So for spiritual change is more important. While I find nofap doesn't really do that stuff. If that makes any sense.

Hey guys, it’s my new account.
as a former porn addict I'm back here to help those who can't stop the addiction!!
The nofap community really helped me and I want to give back
    My main tips:
    1. Believe you can!!! Don’t trick your mind to think it’s not possible.
    2. Don’t do 50/50, if you stop watching porn, so you stop it. No other ideas to mastubrare “from your imagination“!
    3. Learn your brain- it’s really important, I used this guide that someone posted here in the past and I’m sure without this, i was watching porn even right now. So you must learn why you addicted, why you do it every single time, how to control your brain and stop it. This guide covers this, Highly recommend this!
