    Day 20

Again, I'm really sorry for being absent. Been too busy.

As always, I woke up to train in crossfit, the workout was way too easy though.

I kept on practicing on Japanese language, and I'm improving a lot more.

I finally got to finish reading the book 'How To Think Like a Roman Emperor'. I got to understand more and more about Stoicism, and I'll be puttting it to practice and to test it out in the real world. And suddenly to control more my reactions to what will happen and to control and overcome my anger and my desires, especially my reaction to physical pain.

Day 182 and the official 1/2 year mark!

I thought it would be yesterday, but I forgot May has 31 days :D so today is my official 1/2 year mark of complete and I mean complete abstinence of porn. That means: no porn and not even (remotely) erotic images at all and even no reading about porn stars or semi erotic stories online. The only nakedness I've experienced the last 6 months was when I was with a woman I dated for 1-1,5 months. I keep repeating it; yes I have improved a lot on all areas (sleep, productivity, focus, calmness of mind and ability to have sex with a real woman). But I know I am not fully healed and I am aware that this might even take another 1/2 year to even 2 years to really heal up. I will always be this porn addiction, so I cannot have moderate porn exposure, I will need to abstain from it for the rest of my life and I accept this faith.

Here's a very interesting / motivating video from Mark Manson that inspired me a lot. Hope it will inspire you too.

Have a great day my fellow warriors, together we can get out of this and at least have a better life than yesterday.

    Day 52 saiyans

Still feeling a bit tired, but in a good way. Bought some dip bars on the weekend and started doing them and boy am I feeling it. Haven't done dips in a long while. But I truly surprised my self at how many could do. I've truly internalized the realization that its all up to us. No matter what happens in our lives or what we want to accomplish, its up to us to do something about it. Other people don't matter, and honestly neither do their lives. Keep training saiyans.

Day 21. That's three weeks now. I'm truly glad that May was a far better month than April ever was. I got to spend the rest of the month without PMO'ing. It wasn't easy, but it was a huge accomplishment to me.

Now that we're in the first day of June, new challenges await as the journey continues.

  10. I feel the same way actually. I relapsed the last few days and feel quite defeated about it.
It feels terrible not being able to do a month in a row when you have done 4 in the past.
I think you are right @JB39, the only way is to keep trying and let the addict self know that he should shut the fuck up.

    Day 116 ongoing.
Keeping busy, some cravings after work, I'm grateful for nofap, as I would have easily landed on a porn page instead.
I have delayed starting a journal for a while now, and this is because I lost momentum on my recovery reading.
I need to double down on the PMO fight.

@Lexro84 I like Mark Manson as well, read his first book a couple of times. I don't remember reading about the inverted curve in there, but it does make sense.

Stay strong everyone! One day at a time!

I tend to come to the conclusion in my experience that over complications make things more challenging as the complexity can trigger a feeling of overwhelm which can lead to a breakdown for me. At the end of the day we all have our own respective views as to what’s most important to us and get to set our open bottom lines. As for me i’ll keep it simple- NO PMO

Last lapse back into porn for me was Monday night. Haven’t fallen down any rabbit holes this week, though I do find myself sometimes fantasizing in the shower and letting that be a gateway to the M-O part of the cycle for me. Just calling out the data I’ve been observing in my own subjective experience this week. That happened twice for me at shower time, second event being yesterday afternoon during a cold shower after work. First time the urge was so strong it came up during a cold shower. Anyway resetting from there. Day 1

    Day 53 saiyans

Been feeling really tired lately. Ended up sleeping hard after work, thought that would help me recharge and get my sleep schedule back on track, but it really didn't. Going to train hard and hopefully I can sleep early tonight.
    Keep going saiyans

  18. Sounds like you've been overtraining. If you overdo you can burn out and cause a lot of damage.
    Symptoms of overtraining include:
    - persistent fatigue
    - halted progress in workouts or backpedaling
    - muscular pain
    - decreased mental performance
    - lower stamina
    - irritability
    - sleeplessness or difficulty sleeping (nofap can do this too especialy with no masturbation)

Just keep an eye out and be aware of how you're doing. I know it can be daunting to rest when you're training hard, overworking your body can result in serious damage overtime. It's a good practice to be aware of your bodies' condition, body awareness can and will improve recovery time and overall exercise performance.

For treatment of overtraining you can use NSAIDs such as ibuoprofen or aspirin can help treat inflammation and cold baths can work wonders. I prefer hot baths for recovery and limit them to 15 minutes to prevent overheating your body and organs.
The most important and effective way to deal with overtraining is rest.

If all else fails see a doctor.

    Checking in.
