The dumbest pro-porn article I've ever read

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Sep 3, 2018.

  1. Hello you beautiful goddam fapstronauts. Recently I've stumbled across an article proclaiming to "debunk" a GQ.com article encouraging men to give up porn. The article was so bad that I had to double check the address to make sure I wasn't on a satire website. In fact, I am still not convinced that it isn't

Here is the article in question

Here are some of the article's highlights, as per the intrepid and affluent author Jay Juster

"Fifty-three percent of the NoFappers developed a regular porn habit between the ages of 12 and 14. An alarming 16 percent said they started watching before they were 12. Why is any of this information 'alarming?'"

"Forty-two percent of male college students report visiting porn sites regularly. This is exactly why you should start and/or continue watching porn. Clearly, all the cool kids are doing it when they aren't throwing parties and having real sex."

"Among 27 to 31 year olds on NoFap, 19 percent suffer from premature ejaculation, 25 percent are disinterested in sex with their partner, 31 percent have difficulty reaching orgasm and 34 percent experience erectile dysfunction. According to Men's Fitness, the statistics of the overall population of men who “suffer” from premature ejaculation is 33 percent."
Hmmm, now why might that be Jay? :emoji_thinking:

"Of the 31 percent who have difficulty reaching orgasm, I wonder how many are women. They are notoriously hard to get off."
    Hahahahaha^^^^

  2. My browser blocker is working! Won’t let me go to the site.

I’ve decided that I’m no longer going to let these pro-porn people bug me anymore. I’m convinced about what the truth is about porn and I’m going to keep working to get it out of my life.

  3. Well i tried reading the article but found it full of BS, I stopped when i got to this bit "According to Anna Arrowsmith, pornography is a great way to learn about the human body in the absence of proper sexual education"

Well Anna Arrowsmith obviously hasn't seen the level of violence portrayed against women in the kind of porn that is out there these days and is probably thinking about stuff from the 1970's or 80's. I can tell you the stuff i've seen should NEVER be anywhere near a young person who wants to learn how to respect and love women.

The thing is they generalise it so much they forget that the very obscene and extreme stuff is on the same sites or at least linked to on the sites that display the regular vanilla stuff.

I think if they REALLY saw what was out there for themselves they would eat their words but i would put money on the fact that the kind of people who write these articles haven't spent 14 hours viewing porn whilst high on cocaine and had a mental breakdown with suicidal thoughts after. But hey at least i got to learn about the 'human body' what a load of crap!

  4. Yes. Before I quit porn I saw a video with a particular porn actress. She had super soft, mellow eyes, innocent and totally devoid of aggression and self-importance. I looked up other later videos of her and it was all violent. She had eye liner running down her face from crying, was being smacked and wincing in pain from being rammed aggressively. It was the most revolting thing I've ever seen. There was no way in hell she was there by her own consent. That was when I quit watching porn. It's violence and abuse. It's definitely not any damn "sexual education" for kids. What a degenerate.

For reference, this is the quote by the article's author about showing porn to kids:

I mean, not one to be an elitist asshole but the article in question is literal word vomit, I cant be the only one who took one skim read of the badly formatted, badly articulated stream of consciousness and thought "wow, the writer really is a fucking moron"?

In all seriousness, articles like this are nothing more than fluff pieces written by people who dont understand how addiction works or the effect PMO actually has. I mean shit, some people are addicted to DRINKING WATER TO THE POINT IT HARMS THEM, why is it so unreasonable to think that something as potent as porn could also be addictive? The specifics are up for debate, science always is, thats the point of it, but excessive consumption of porn is bad for you and that isn't negotiable, it might affect some more than others, but it doesnt stop it from being harmful.

I eagerly anticipate "10 reasons why crystal meth is actually good for you" or "5 reasons why you should eat at McDonalds every day", they should be equally riveting and well informed reads.

    Give me a fucking break.
