In the western world it is often said that through losing his virginity, "a boy becomes a man." This is a problematic perspective when we take into consideration that the power of testosterone and male sexuality is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful. We indirectly teach young men that the transformation into manhood involves surrendering his internal power as quickly as possible, when in reality it is the complete opposite. For a boy to become a man he has to learn to cultivate and store the power which is directly responsible for his development into manhood. This practice not only cultivates physical benefits but also acts as a catalyst for the development of a strong internal character.

Having confidence in your control over your most powerful and primal of forces is the foundation of a developing man. Without this, you have nothing more than generations of thirty year old's who are still at the psychological stages of eighteen year old's. They never learned to master and embrace the true first foundations of manhood and so remain psychologically stunted in their insecurity. This insecurity is a direct result of knowing you have little or no power over your primal force and so a feeling of having no power or control. I don't know where the concept of losing your virginity to enter manhood came from, but it is a vile and corrupt idea to perpetuate. Young men need to be taught the virtues of sexual cultivation through celibacy as early as possible and understand the consequences of wasting this power and as a result never developing into a true man of living potency.

As a virgin, I agree with this as well. Sex ain't a task, it's nothing more but maybe something less than flavor of life.

I actually found being a virgin a lot easier than a lengthy 'dry' patch in my late twenties/early thirties. once I had experienced a sexual relationship it was very difficult to go back (ended up turning to porn, big mistake).

It is best to wait until you meet someone you can trust, and that you really like, rather than hitting on anyone (or just being flattered that anyone is interested at all).
