I was at Wal-mart earlier and I saw a very cute girl working there. I was looking for something and I honestly couldn't find it, so I figured I'd ask her. I was surprised at how fucking nervous I was just to ask her. My heart was racing and I couldn't believe how nervous I was to simply ask her where this item was. I finally got my shit together and asked her if she knew where they were and she lead me to them. Honestly, I think she liked me, but I just couldn't bring myself to ask her out. I was so nervous. After she showed me what I was looking for she didn't just walk off. I figure if she wasn't interested she would've just showed me and walked off, but even after she showed me she just lingered there and it's like she was waiting for me to ask her out. It's like she knew that I liked her and I think she liked me, but I was just so nervous. I told her I wasn't planning on paying that much and she told me where else they are so I thanked her and walked out. It's kinda disappointing, but yet it actually made me feel really good about myself. Baby steps and all of that. I have really bad social anxiety and while NoFap is definitely helping, I still have it to a degree and I know it will get better the longer I do NoFap. I plan on going back and looking for her and asking her for her number. If I don't see her I'll just find other girls. I actually think it was a good thing to just walk away because I need to take baby steps and get comfortable with girls. If she had rejected me, which I don't think she would have, I might've taken it to heart. I think it's good to get used to talking to girls before I ask them out. I have to realize that I'm only on day 13 and while that's great, I have a long way to go. I was actually gonna go back and ask her for her number, but I figured I'd just go back some other time. When I was in the military we had these drills called "immediate action" drills where you would do exactly a certain action when you are faced with a certain situation like an enemy ambush. It was designed so that you would not freeze or hesitate but take action and thereby giving you the best chance for surviving a life and death situation. We need to have IA drills for dating, just don't give a fuck and don't wait, ask the girl out right away when the opportunity is there. The worse that can happen is you get rejected or she's not available, not a big deal.
