I'm a 44 year old male who has been struggling with porn for a number of years. I have wanted to ditch porn for a while. I know different people see the definition of porn addiction in different ways. For me, I have easy access to porn, have seen it since a young age, and only seem to be attracted to it once a week. For me that is enough of an an addiction. To others, it might seem insignificant.

I am attempting to make extra moves to finally put an end to this destructive behaviour in my life. I am a Christian believer, and feel I need to ditch this.

This was initially brought on by a need for release as I worked long hours and hardly saw my wife. Unfortunately as of the 1/1/2016, my wife left me and took my family. Now, I have no release and have returned to porn.

I need to get myself sorted out and feel that if there is any chance to reconcile with my wife (Whom I love), I need to put this behind me.

having something like this community to give me ideas and to hold me accountable might just be what I need.

Did your wife leave you due to the porn, or for other reasons. Getting rid of porn is always a good move, but might need some other changes to get your family back.

No, not because of Porn. I doubt she knows about my struggle. I have yet to work out why she left. She has not spoken to me and cut me out of her life. I know I likely have other things to work on but I am starting with the Porn issue :)
