I started NoFap on March 16th, and lasted 15 days on my first real try at it, but I haven't been able to get back on track since. When I relapsed the first time I went straight back on to NoFap the following day, lasted two days, then gave in to my urges once more. Determined to do NoFap for the benefit of my own life, I probably won't stop trying to accomplish NoFap, but I'm really struggling now to get past the two day mark, for whatever reason. I started again yesterday, and once again today my urges got the best of me.

I'm not sure why the two day mark is suddenly so difficult, as the first time I tried NoFap I didn't feel any urges until day 5. Can anyone offer any advice so I can pull my finger out and actually man up to do this challenge!

  2. I think this happens with everyone - once you relapse after a long streak, you end up relapsing multiple times after that. Like the mind is trying to make-up for all the previous days.

Did you watch the 6-part video series on YBOP?

Make it hard for yourself to PMO. Use web blocking extensions and K9 on your browsers. Delete all the porn you own. Start a routine of 30min workouts followed by a cold shower, does wonders. When you stop PMO, there is still a void in your life that your mind is trying to fill. You have to find activities to fill that void or you will keep relapsing.

Just like me. When I first started Nofap, I lasted 14 days, not getting any strong urges till day 9. Then I relapsed and ever since then, I have had a really hard time getting to that 3 day mark. It is so hard to get out of the well once you cut off the rope I tell you.

  6. I would recommend K9ing everything possible. What really helped me get back on track was blocking EVERY search site (including K9 safe search itself). Cold Turkey and Employee Monitor are also good (though the latter requires you to purchase the software after a 15-day trial). Anything that can be used as porn must be eliminated. This includes YouTube, Daily Motion, Facebook, even Amazon.com, believe it or not!

You're going to find a way to access porn again (probably at school or a relative's computer). But making it difficult to be alone with a computer raises your success chances significantly. And, of course, will power is key; if you don't truly want to end this dependency you will fall back into your old habits.
