I recently went a little more than a week without PMO. I though that my gym routine and good habits started causing my to have less PMO urges. I was wrong. I have since fallen back into my old ways, and realize that no matter how good my life gets, I will have urges that I have to manage. because of this I must develop a strategy to overcome urges. In order to do this I will use a mindfulness technique (Relabel, Reattribute, Refocus, Revalue). When I get urges I briefly think about going through this mindfulness technique bet I sweats brush it off. It does work however and I need to use it
Hey Meskii, that technique sounds very interesting, and strikes somewhat familiar by the words used, although never heard about being an specific technique or the specific order, could you elaborate a bit on that?
1. Know your triggers 2. Avoid being alone 3. Use proven tactics... exercise, being around people. cold showers etc 4. Don't give up if you relapse
