To set the scene here, I currently suffer from PIED like a lot of us.

This post is about my opinion on relapsing. I read a lot of posts about guys getting really down about relapsing. It's like they think a relapse puts you back at square-one; I'm not promoting relapsing but I certainly don't believe that.

I've been trying to fix myself for about a month. I started strong and lasted 10 days (I've explained what happened next in other posts). I've relapsed a few times but the point being I already believe I've seriously curtailed by addiction to PMO. To be fair I have successfully quit porn for a whole month but still have MO relapses.

So here is the point.. some guys believe they will only get better if they hit their set magic number of 30/60/90/120 days etc. I've got nowhere near these numbers but I already feel myself getting better. Sure I could be doing better and I intend to try to be but my strong opinion is that a relapse does not destroy all progress towards a successful reboot.

Relapse doesn't destroy the progress made.

The time saved from looking at porn is time gained, just for starters...

We all have different ideas of what being clean means to us. For some its no PMO, others just P. I guess most of those decisions are based on personal circumstances, whether in a relationship or not.

I feel likewise its best not to set a time limit on how long to be abstinent for, however, I personally set small goals or I will never make it.
