Steve Jobs was so right. He knew the truth. Look at his life. Look at what he achieved. Look what he did with his lifetime. I see it today. I'm finally free, I don't get attracted by porn anymore, and my life is so fulfilled.
@seth @owler oh, I thought it was so famous and well-known! Yes, when iPhones and iPads came up, Steve Jobs blocked all porn apps in the app store. His famous public saying then was "when you want porn, get an android" There was also a famous mail exchange where he wrote: "Yep, freedom from programs that steal your private data. Freedom from programs that trash your battery. Freedom from porn. Yep, freedom." You find a lot of links in google. He was really right about the word freedom. Freedom from porn makes you really free, it unleashes your energy. (BTW, I don't think that porn should be forbidden by law. That would be too much of censory. After all, it is about learning about your underlying issues, which are the roots of any addiction. Like with abuse of alcohol and drugs.)
I was surprised that Jobs would have said that, but looked it up and it's basically true! http://www.cnet.com/news/steve-jobs-if-you-want-porn-get-an-android/
He was a business man. He would say what people wanna hear. However his moral idea was admiring. Unfortunately apple wasn't able to do it. Lust is every conner.
I have the impression of the opposite. He was not a people pleaser. He was more of a guru. He had had his own ideas, and then people would follow him. He was first looking for ideas he needed for himself, and then he brought these ideas to the world.
In a business sense, its just not a good idea to have adult content on any app store. Why would you want to prevent the under-18 market from buying your mobile phones?
I also wasn't aware of this. Kind of makes me want to switch out my phone for an Iphone Steve was a bold and wonderful person who made this and many other decisions he made during his life and truly Is in inspiration :] It's sad he left us so soon.May his soul rest in eternal peace.
