Hi guys. I'm 21 now and I've been masturbating ever since I was 12 or 13. I came across your website a few months ago and decided that giving up porn and masturbation was definitely for me considering it felt like they have a real hold on my life and I discovered, again through your website, that I have PIED :/
Since discovering you guys I have quit for a few days, masturbated for a few days, then quit for a few more until 2 weeks ago when I decided to get serious. I quit for 12 days, but then this morning I woke up and it was like those last 12 days didn't matter and I just gave up. So. Here I am starting again AGAIN but this time I'm going to leave a log on these forums. My goal: No Porn, No Masturbation until new years. That's a little over 90 days from now which SEEMS very doable, despite the fact that I've struggled so much in the past. Here's to a fresh start! -Ed

Welcome to the forum. Getting rid of our addiction is very difficult to do. We have good days and we have bad days. Eventually we learn to power through the bad days. Addicts have a relapse cycle that hits us the hardest around day 7-10. If you can get over that hurdle then your withdrawal symptoms should start to lessen. Not only do we have a physical dependency we also have an emotional dependency. Try to discovery what your triggers are and have a plan that addresses those needs. I hope you find all the information, advice, and support you need to succeed.
