I`m trying to do nofap, but after 3 days of NoFap, on 4th day i`m slepping very bad, on day 5 and so on i`m losing my sleep completely, which leads to relarse usualy on day 6-7 because i feel so bad no sleeping at all, it feels like my body has energy and don`t want to sleep at all even after some training. I mean it feels like it has energy, but in reality i`m tired very much. I don`t consume any stimulators at all. So i wanna ask, if someone had similar problem, how long will it take for body to return to normal sleeping and\or what to do to get sleep in these days when body rebooting?
Hi! I'm new to NoFap, I'm only in my fifth day. I don't have much experience in what abstaining can do, but I do have experience in habits, sleep and other things. I'm guessing you can't sleep because you used to PMO after going to bed, or you can't sleep because there's nothing to let go of you emotions, like porn and masturbating does. My advice, is to implement new good habits, before sleep. First of all, try to dim the lights in your room, and turn off every screen like half an our after you go to bed. I highly recommend meditation and stretching before sleep, but if that's too much to implement at first, or if you just don't see the point of them yet, just pick up a good book (try to avoid scientific, self development etc., everything that requires mental effort), like a fantasy or adventure one, because not only it will make your eyes tired, but it will make your brain to forget the emotions that keeps you from sleeping, and replace them with something pleasant. Porn is an addiction, and like every other (for example I used to smoke a lot), it makes you feel good for the moment, but it's bad. Implementing new good habits is the best way to make your life better for the long term. I hope I've helped you a bit! Good luck, and never give up!
There is no exact answer on how long it will take as everyone is different. If its because of the reboot, then dont worry, you will get back to sleep sooner then a depressed man. Here are some tips that helped me: -Set alarm to wake you up early; -Do activities during the day; -Drink a chamomile tea before sleep; -Stay away from any devices before you go to sleep, turn off your computer, phone, everything.
Yes, I hear you. This is me. My sleep habits are still not perfect, and I'm going on 7 weeks. It got better after a month, but still have days where I'm laying awake at night. But instead of giving into P, I listen to a meditation. This has help me get my mind under control and get back to sleep.

Guys i already tried all that stuff, i don`t have any emotions i`m just laying tired in bed without any thoughts (i becoming much more calmer after 3 days of nofap) and don`t want to sleep physically, its not about waking up early or drinking tea, i just can`t sleep at all
This is typical withdrawal symptoms, and you have more energy from not fapping. Don't worry. At least you are in your bed and resting. It's going to suck for some days, then it will get better. Don't relapse because of it. This is making it worse. If your addiction knows that all it takes for you to give in is a few sleepless nights, then it will use this method. Fighting addiction means withstanding in the midst of great difficulity. It means sacrificing your pleasure and comfort for a greater good. You can do it.
Its not expected to work right away, those are just tips that potentially might speed up the process and make you fall asleep faster. You dont expect to get nice abs after a week in the gym, arent you?
Try chamomile tea it is a natural herb that are used for people like us going through withdrawals, take 3 bags before bed and you wil sleep through the night
It was about a week, after starting that I started having sleep issues. This has happened to me before many times, and I gave in many times. But this time I'm better informed and know I have to live through this sleep issue, if the I'm ever going to get over PM. This time after a month my sleep got better.
I normally would get about 4 hours of sleep, that would go on for 2 to 3 days, than I would crash, than 2 more days, good night sleep off and on for a month. The weekend I took naps.
Okay, thanks a lot, that is answer i`ve been looking for, and nobody answers me what i ask. So i have to go through 4-5 days of bad\no sleeping. It begins on 4th days usually which makes 9-10 days of nofap till, and after it will be easier. Thanks, i`ll try and write about results here. And can you please tell what you do to make it easier to get sleeping at this most hard days?
To help out with sleep, I started to meditate. I didn't think much about it at first until I tried it. Used an app called guided meditation.
The good calmer mind, feel better about myself, better relationships. No bad stuff just had to get over my sleeping problem.
I am married and enjoy a healthy relationship with my wife. During these 50 days physical relationship has gotten better. My goal is a life without PM the O only with my wife.
