Shorter time to Climax when Masturbating

I know we don't want to anymore, but it is something I'm wondering about.

When I was a teenager, I would be able to masturbate for almost as long as I wanted to to fantasies. I could fap to a fantasy for half hour or more.

But then, when I got married and my wife moved in, I didn't have such privacy and I learned to jerk off in under a minute into the toilet. But I can't do the long fap sessions anymore. Now, almost as soon as I start, I feel the ejaculation building. So, kind of took the fun out of it for me and it is now just a release rather than a fantasy sex session.

Anyone else have this happen? Can it be reversed? I am worried that my penis now wants to climax right away to my hand, which is kind of disturbing.

 

I don't have all the details, so I might be wrong with this. However, this is what I would speculate:

If you are going to be fantasizing and masturbating for hours, you're probably using a pretty gentle and slow stroke. If you are trying to get off as quickly as possible, you are probably really moving fast with a really tight grip. (Feel free to correct me if this is wrong compared to your experience.) Once you're used to that tighter faster, jerking motion, it's probably what you gravitate toward, and perhaps your penis is less responsive to the lighter touch. If that's the case, you just have to stop masturbating in that way and the old sensation will eventually come back.

In any case, I think it would be helpful to take a break from masturbating before going back and trying whatever technique used to work for you that you preferred. I highly doubt this new development will be permanent.
