Sex addiction or sexual compulsion?

I was reading some work done by a sexologist and psychotherapist explaining that sexual acting out is better treated as a compulsion rather than addiction as it’s different to how our brain responds to an actual substance. I’m a bit on the fence with it I can see a lot of good points he makes like the shame element of “addiction treatment not being helpful but he seems too much in the direction of “ go fill your boots” his name is Silva Neves if anyone is interested
