I’m struggling with recovery exercises today. I’ve not been tempted to relapse a week in, but I’m emotionally spent with this nightmare since my wife … well, we both discovered my addiction. Today was the first day at home alone. I’m very sad she could be gone from my life … for something so preventable. We should have been together at her mom’s wedding today.

  2. I will never understand why a married person looks at porn I mean you can have sex with your wife and how long is your marriage because she must love you in some moments

The autumn leaf is also lonely,
    It's cold and wind-ravaged.
In the dirt, in the dust, lies at your feet,
"It used to be a splendid garment...

It was beautiful, beautiful and curved,
And it was a beauty, a beauty, a carving..,
♪ But once it fell, it couldn't rise again ♪
And it remained as mud on the road.

The autumn leaf was very lonely,
"and it had no foothold in the circle of its fellows.
It fell and was crushed by a hundred feet,
What's the use of idle talk now...

    I really like this poem.
I have a suggestion though with the last line of the third stanza - you could make that more plaintive or emotional but still say the same thing ya know?

  7. It’s very possible to get addicted prior to marriage. I’ve seen posts about married men who have suffered from it before and it’s difficult, it’s not a piece of cake.

I think us guys who are in our early early teens and early twenties should be grateful that we became concious of this.guys who are married are most probably in thier 40's upwards, the science is only emerging now before that nobody had a clue that this could be a problem,i kinda feel sorry for married guys but there is hope

  9. Yeah I do feel bad for them especially, but it usually leads to what kinda life they had if it wasn’t easy or etc to turn down that road.. I had a friend who worked at a P Shop and she said most of the guys came in willing to watch porn and didn’t care, I believe she had said it helps them cope. But this was 12 years ago. But I can see people who are not effected by it any way shape or form.

I think young men are delusioned to the idea that you just own your wife when you get married, and get to have sex with them whenever you want. They have jobs, stressors, emotions, needs, etc, etc that need to be met. Women arent just sex fairies. You dont get to say take off your pants in the western world; India literally just made spousal rape illegal like a couple weeks ago, so the eastern world is catching up to our human rights standard of autonomy. Also P use usually begins as a teenager, and progresses into addiction way before they marry.
