So last night I found myself walking into the emergency room, on account of I had lost all sensation in the head of my penis 5 days ago.
I assumed I was just diabetic because I had a lot of other symptoms commonly associated with type 2 diabetes (thirst, hunger, sweating, frequent peeing, etc).
The hospital took blood and urine and told me I was definitely not diabetic. They told me they weren't totally sure why my nerves were damaged.

For months prior to this event I had been masturbating daily. I'd use an iron grip, and I did so several times a day. I masturbated with such force/pressure that I felt pain during.
My penis was actually limp/flaccid during this chaotic tugging, but I'd usually manage to force myself to 'orgasm'. By 'orgasm,' I mean there wasn't any pleasure. It was more of a daily habit. An urge. A very small trickle of water-like semen would be released, but I felt absolutely nothing.

Has anyone here experienced this before? Can someone write me a reassuring response? A response telling me they have also had this happen and that they regained their penile sensitivity?

The doctor told me it'll probably return to normal, and that I should just relax. Easier said than done when it is the single most important appendage a man has. He also warned that it may not come back to normal. I've never been told so many contradictions inside a hospital in all of my life....."your penis is fine....but it may not be fine"....

I haven't masturbated in 6 days now. I may never masturbate again, even if I regain sensitivity someday. It's just not worth it!
It feels so unfair too, because I'm a virgin and just recently I've been learning how to talk to women.
I feel like I finally had a purpose in life when I figured out that talking to women isn't actually that hard....and then just like that, I lose all sensation in my penis. This really takes a toll on my confidence levels, which weren't terribly high to begin with.

How long have you been PMOing? You gotta quit and go cold turkey

    I hadn't thought about that. Let's see....roughly 18 years total give or take. (I'm 28).

I think you have a severe case of PIED (porn-induced ed). It's gonna be a long process of healing, but over time you will become resensitized and it will work. In my case, I didn't have ED but over the past 10 weeks, I have noticed improvements in attraction to real life women and being able to feel that special way without Porn.

Have you tried quitting PMO? I think it will solve most of this over quite a few months of dedicated change

I've quit PMO here and there for small bouts of time. Never truly long term.
That's why I'm here though, I'm looking to give it up completely. Possibly forever. I don't like the fact that if I were to meet a woman, I'd be ineffective in bed.

I'm just terrified the sensitivity may never return. ED is most likely PIED as you suggested. If I had health insurance I'd probably be running to the urologist full speed.

  6. You need to give it up forever. I am approaching 40 days in and quite honestly, the sensitivity will return. I never thought it would. I'm worrying about my brain now, but I even notice some changes there.

What changes have you noticed at 40 days?

  8. I just feel kinda dead. It may be the fact that my brain isnt experiencing e dopamine everyday from pmo. I used to read erotic stories and masturbate the whole way through the story.

I tested myself one morning this week and tried briefly masturbating without porn or artificial stimulation. I noticed because i wasnt looking at anything ir fantasizing it took me longer to achieve an erection but i had to stop quickly because my penis skin was sensitive and I didnt want to come bear orgasming.

That was in less than a minute. I asked if it was a reset and I was told it was just a minus 1 from my day count.

I see. Did you ever feel desensitized?

  10. Mentally yes and from friction on my penis of course! Even my antidepressants made it more difficult to O when I masturbated.
