    Evening folks.

    Tonight on BBC 2 at 9:30 in the UK is an investigative programme called 'Blurred Lines; The New Battle of the Sexes'

    Here's the write up;
    'Why do so many people think that they have the 'freedom and the right' to speak about and portray women in a deeply offensive and derogatory way? In this thought provoking film Kirsty Wark explores whether a new wave of extreme misogyny is being fuelled by social media'

    It's a subject I just touched on in the thread 'Accidentally saw porn online, feedback please'. I myself believe that online dating sites are creating a bigger devide between the sexes, by creating an un-natural level of intimate conversation amongst strangers.
    There are other reasons, and also some good points to these sites too.

    If you catch the programme would be interested to hear your opinions on it, thanks.

  2. Why is it that people always speak about women being portrayed in a deeply offensive and derogatory way. For example in porn, all the comments I have ever read here are about the objectification of women. What about the objectification of men? The men who have to grind away endlessly in these pornographic sex-marathons.

    The programme does look to be quite a femminist take, but I'll wait to see it.

    I agree, surely women can be just as bad when they talk about men. I reckon they probably keep their opinions more closely guarded within their circles.

    Ok I'm finding the presenters tone really annoying. She's condemming sexist humour no matter where it's told. Damn if we can't laugh at the world what's the point in living.

    I've laughed at all of the jokes so far, does that make me sexist. I don't think so at all.

    Joke;
    I used to work in Chicago in a department store, I used to work in Chicago, I don't work there anymore..

    'A lady came into the store one day asking for a ladytrain'

    ..a lady train she wanted???

    ..A miscarriage she got!!'

    Now I'm not sexist but that is funny.
