In my opinion that depends on what your goals are. For me, I am trying to get clear of some dark, unhappy-type fantasies and stuff, that have been bothering me for two decades. If I were able to masturbate only to positive thoughts without porn, perhaps I would masturbate once a day or something. Maybe--and this is just my two cents--think through what you are trying to achive and keep an experimental attitude :) Which do you want to abstain from--P, M, or O, and why? For how long? Etc. Best wishes

my goals are clean my mind of shitly porn scenes and fantasies and gain my natural energy that I should have during all this time of addiction, i became too wierd and introvert, i was not like this until my 14 yeas old when i got high speed internet and became a hardcore porn user, even without knowing nofap i was trying to control the level of the porn, tried to masturbate only for ~~soft~~ porn but i was still anxious.

I hear ya. Porn leads people to look at increasingly disturbing stuff... Seems many people recommend a solid no PMO for 90 days, a good strong reboot, and then start making choices once you've reached that vantage point of clarity.

Often while on a streak, I do something positive and feel happy and good, and I'm like, wouldn't it be great to celebrate this accomplishment by looking at, say, pic of hot friend on Facebook? Surely that's not the same as really intense hateful pornography! Well, when I do it, it seems to start leading me down the same path, from the Facebook pic to the porn and/or hate-sex thoughts. I'll try to sort out my decisions about this after my 90 day reboot is complete. Think that's a better place from which to make decisions about the role, say, PG-13 Facebook pics should play in my sex life.
