Is there a way to reduce no of hours I sleep ? Or that is not a good idea at all ? And quittung porn or masturbation would affect something like that? Waiting ur opinions )
The healthy amount of sleep for an adult person is 7.5-9 hours. If you sleep more than that then try to reduce it.If you can't do it , you should visit a specialised doctor.
PMO does not appear to effect it for me. Some ppl do have issues where the can't sleep untill they fap, or the wake up slowly and fall into fapping etc. For me diet def effects it. On a lowcarb diet I need less sleep. I learned from a friend how to take powernaps. I sleep no more than 6 hours at night and take 2 power 20min power naps in the day. This gives me way more energy and alertness than sleeping longer in one chunk. I can easily fall into a routine where I sleep 9 hours at night and don't need the naps. But the sleep is restless, I'm easily awoken, so I prefer my altered schedule.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphasic_sleep hi... you need to read more about how your body needs sleep, because if you try to experiment with your sleep pattern, you can screw it up pretty good and break down on effectivness of your day. If you sleep too less your body won't regenerate enough and you feel exhausted. (obvious point - feeling like druged/drunken) If you train ( gaining muscle) you gain way less if you don't sleep enough. If you study (try to get something into your memory - university/school/hobby), you won't learn it that fast as if you have enough sleep. ... list goes on... our body is a weird thing i know... sleep sucks, but is needed for a healthy human. I don't recomend having to less sleep. If you don't need that much sleep.. ok.. you need to listen to your body and try some things. But keep in mind, that your body will take the amount of sleep it needs. -> Recommendation: Establish a habbit of going early to bed. -> ~10pm-6.30am = 8.30h sleep enough to fall asleep and go through enough sleep circles. This may vary considering your personal sleep circle. Or do it like JackStrident and try some Polyphasic sleep with a main phase around 6h and some naps in the midday. Like i said try some things, but read first enough to get yourself informed. Beeing out of rhythm sucks hard.
@ASmith90 yes those are good points. Btw @Nofap anymore Another thing to take note of: If you are not satisfied with your sleep and drink coffee then the first thing to do is stop drinking coffee. It takes about a week to kick that habbit (and with kicking coffee you should taper down and take a pain killer for the headaches and be prepared to need much more sleep during that week) but you will likely be pleasantly surprised. Most people are unaware what a huge impact it has on their sleep.
hmm interesting, but what helps you start your day? My routine in the morning is coffee -> toilet -> training -> shower... if i quit coffee i destroy my start ^^
Well we're all different. If coffee genuinely gets you going in the morning and you're happy with how you sleep then I suggest to change nothing. From my own experience and what I have observed in some others is that coffee does not really wake you up, not once you are accustomed to it. I sleep worse and need the coffee just to feel kinda normal. Without the coffee (after a week) I sleep deeper and wake up feeling better than normal. I have a ton of shit to do in the morning so I just plow out of bed. I think I'm groggy for maybe 30 seconds. If I did need help waking I'd opt for a cold shower.
The best effect is if you cut out all caffeine, and if you've never tried this I'd suggest trying that first. Tea typically is 1/5 strength of coffee The caffeine withdrawal is less intense if you take ~3 days to taper down Good luck! Chances are good that after a week you'll feel more awake than you have in a long time
You need sleep of 8 hours , and dont watch porn , it ruins your brain power , I'm not watching and im pretty relaxed these days since i started no PMO.
M steals calories from your body . P steals your logic thinking . You are on the right way of reducing your sleep hours . 1- regular your sleep . 2- know it's enough or not to your own body . 3- make a schedule for cutting 10 minutes every 10 days to avoid the fatigue and to build the new habit . 4- be flexible in no.3 5- be patient and persistent . 6- if you feel sleep during the day take a 20 or 30 minutes nap . 7- sport . 8- sleep to fresh your body and start your beautiful life . 9- love your life . If you have giant goals and know why you are on this planet you will be very strong and your will be very well
