Kicking the porn habit is a lot like climbing K2. We're not going to achieve our objective unless we know ourselves - our strengths & weaknesses - and the terrain. When I first came across the "Three Circles", I immediately recognised them as an important piece of equipment in my mountain climbing rucksack & have mapped them out on a piece of paper. You can find a good explanation & worksheet to help you, below. The more time we spend thinking about & doing those things in the outer circle, while avoiding those in the risky middle circle, the greater our chances of not acting out the inner circle behaviours. http://greenbookstepstudy.org/Step1A-3Circle.html More power to you all! I only came across this a few days ago but it's a great tool. Knowing that for example lying in bed in a morning is middle circle as is going on the computer without a purpose. Another could be getting involved in things that don't concern me or perhaps concluding something without knowing the true facts and catastrophising the outcome. All of these do not help me at all and have been present when a relapse occurs
Gunner1. Welcome and congrats on starting the journey. It's one step at a time. The more you understand your patterns the better. No one gets out of here alive. Let's crack this sooner rather than later. Strength! T22.
