I notice before I always fall into pmo it always stem back to certain thought patterns from either internal or external stimuli. How should I deal with compulsive/intrusive thoughts, there a certain way I should react to them or do I react at all? Do I just notice them and revert my attention back to the present moment like in meditation? I'm pretty sure that's mindfullness if I'm not mistaken. So is simply being mindful of them the correct approach, I really need an answer with this as its been one of if not the biggest struggle in dealing with this addiction. Thank you
I want to say you answered your own question. Mindfulness/meditation is key. The way I would approach the compulsive/intrusive thoughts is to stop what you're doing if you can and just sit with those thoughts. Although they may be dark and strong urges think about how horribly this addiction has hindered your life. Think about how better you can be without PMO. Trust me staying away from that crap helps you out tremendously.
