But I don’t know psychiatrists are really expensive here and I don’t know if it is worth a shot my friend always encourages me to do that but I really don’t know I don’t think going to a psychiatrist would change a person addiction for 10+ years I don’t think it is the magic key for it I already gave up… if someone who had meet a psychiatrist please tell

Psychiatrists are better than psychologists, but both are fairly useless in my experience.
They only take on simple problems and string you along for as long as they can to squeeze every bit of cash out of you they can.

My advice is to look on youtube, you will find psychiatric advice for free and much better in quality than going to see an expensive psychiatrist.

I was heavily addicted to porn for 20+ years, up to 6 hours a day fapping, really a hard core addict.
Finally I found nofap.com and this together with youtube has no made me porn free for 143 days, and I count myself as totally cured of porn addiction.

This is just one experience it is true, but many others on this site have similar outcomes.

It is not an easy path, with the lousy withdrawal symptons, but keep in mind it is not just a psychological addiction, but a physical one as well which has actually changed our brains through porn addiction.
This is why no amount of talk therapy with psychiatrists or psychologists will help much, it is just a matter of going cold turkey on nofap for at least 90 days, and allowing the brain to physically repair and reset itself back to normal.
There is no easy way through porn addiction, but it is worth the pain because you will get a new life out of defeating this curse.

    Cheers for now.
