Prostate health, BPH and hard mode

    I had a minor dermatological problem I recently got over which prevented me from having sex with my wife. Now she has come down with something. I'm going to attempt hard mode for a couple of weeks.

    Is it safe not to ejaculate for an old guy with an enlarged prostate? Will it cause harmful congestion?

    This situation would have been one of my go-to excuses for going straight to a porn site in the past. Sunday morning, with her at church it would have been a no-brainer.

    However, after a recent 45 day+ period of abstinence porn is now boring because I don't want to suspend disbelief any more and pretend it's real. The Evil One would now have to use the MEDICAL EXCUSE argument for me to PMO, but I'm not buying it.

    Can you please elaborate? You mean you have Benign Prostate Hypertrophy and not ejaculating for, say, weeks, didn't cause any problems?
