This is my brain, I went in to get an MRI for tinnitus. I had a feeling I would be clear for tinnitus because I got it from Visual Snow Syndrome which started with the porn addiction. But this white dot known as a white matter hyperintensity showed up.

So you think you got the visual snow syndrome from brain over-stimulation because of p**n?
    Very valuable information either way.

Several times a week never more than once a day. But I did notice an escalation in me seeking out novelty and watching more stimulating content up to 1-2 hours at a time. Of course age, lifestyle and genetics play a role in this as well.

I am not denying that porn damages the brain in significant ways. But I also do not believe correlation always equals causation and it could be that this spot on your MRI is not related to your addiction unless the doctors described it that way. Same with the VSS. Sometimes we can get caught up and so focused on our addictions that we attribute all negative bodily harm towards it. It could be the result of it, but it could equally just be something wrong for the sake of being human, “just because”.

Would it be an option to visit an behavioural optometrist for your Visual Snow Syndrome?
