@Numbnuts9412 : Did you happen to do sedentary work for years for your work?

  2. Hi, I have been doing prone masturbation for about 5 years. After 2 years of starting pmo, I learned that prone masturbation is bad for my sexual health. After that I started to do conventional masturbation. But I couldn't completely leave prone masturbation, since I would do it subconsciously during sleep or due to utter frustration after a relapse after a streak of no pmo. I almost had ditched pmo after reading the hack book for quitting pmo (modified Allen Carr's method for quitting porn) but the subconscious prone masturbation held me in place. When I am in a streak, subconsious prone masturbation suddenly hits me and I become so much frustrated and think that I will not be able to get out of this trouble easily. This makes me lose my mind and I carry on more session of porn, psubs, prone masturbation and conventional masturbation altogether. (because the failure drives me nuts)

Please, anyone reading this, don't say "Don't be so hard on yourself".

I know, subconscious prone masturbation is not voluntary and not done by choice, but it is very problematic since it leaves a mark on my bedsheet and I get so embarassed when my mom or other family members or my dormmates (in my residential place in varsity) get to see those marks. And those marks accumulate over time.

It's so tiresome to have to wake up in the middle of the night (most often with 1 hour of sleeping) just to clean up my body, clothes and bedsheet or try to obscure the mark on the bedsheet by spreading some water (that's just a pain in the ass)

I truly understand the amount of pain you've gone through. I have been in this road. Don't worry. Your subconscious acts, forgive yourself. Consciously, abstain from it.

  4. And I also have an anxiety about whether this prone masturbation has already caused damage to me physically or not. I don't feel those symptoms that some of you have described here. They most probably indicate physical damage. I hope you get well by the grace of God.

It still worries me to think whether I will be able to save myself from the physical damages of prone masturbation, because I am still not able to set myself free from it, and I don't have any assurance when or how I would be able to let it go for good.

Neither did I had any idea. Trust me I am a person just like you. Distract yourself from the anxiety with stuff you like to do the most. Remember it's you not anybody else. Forgive. Try to think of the shame you will encounter in the future when you fail to satisfy you're partner. That is something which will stay forever, is the sensation of a few seconds now worth it?

    Please Don't do that!
    Beacuse it’s not a solution

  10. From my personal experience, masturbating in the conventional way in the hope of getting the prone masturbatory behaviour cured doesn't seem to work for me. Because I cannot tackle the temptation of using images if I attempt to deliberately do conventional masturbation. And you know, the images I use for conventional masturbation are the very triggers for prone masturbation. That thing has been wired in my mind. So, it leads to me doing prone masturbation subconsciously during sleep. Although I am not fully asleep while I'm doing that (and I know what I am doing), I cannot control myself in that situation. And the cycle of prone masturbation continues.

So why can't I do conventional masturbation without images? Especially when it has a probability to cure prone masturbation?

Because when I masturbate, I feel like I'm spoiling myself. I firmly believe, from experience of my addicted life of about 6 years (and reading a whole lot of articles and researches about such stuff) that masturbation, be it in any form (with or without image) is damaging to our physical and mental health. Definitely, masturbation reduces my vigour, drains my energy, makes me lazy, creates brain fog, and the list goes on and on and on. And I'm in such a sector (I'm gonna be a medical doctor, now studying in a med school) that needs brain power and perseverance to succeed. Masturbation takes away my brain power and perseverance. So, why would I spoil myself without gaining some pleasure??(By pleasure I mean looking at images) After getting the experience of pleasure of looking at those images in the past, it's impossible for me to abandon that thing while masturbating (whenever I intend to do conventional masturbation without images, I end up using images, as I lose control over myself)

So, the only solution I think that's gonna cure me is to stay disciplined (so that I don't lose control of my life- that's a recipe for stress) and focus on earning a good income. I intend to get engaged in a permanent relationship through marriage. And I have many reasons for frustration in my life at present (that's another story). If I'm able to compensate for the causes of those frustrations, I hope my life is gonna be different, and I would be able to get cured from all types of masturbation and porn/p-subs addiction.

    Thanks for reading.

Did someone actually go to the neurologist for this and have some sort of test or a scan done? My neurologist claims that nerve damage to the small nerve branches of the genitals cannot be measured.

I have stopped prone masturbating and have also stopped masturbating for almost a year now and although I have stronger erections nothing has changed in terms of regaining feeling or libido.

I’ve went to like 5 doctors and none of them wanted to do anything more than a physical exam and thought I was crazy. Like dude half my dick is numb, of course I’m gonna freak out. Shit sucks, I feel very alone on this

I know what you're going through, everyone I've seen thus far hasn't taken me seriously either, their response was like, "oh, you can't feel your genitals, learn to live with it.". Having numb genitals isn't something you have to learn to live with, but it needs to be examined. The doctors and neurologists told me they don't know how to deal with this and they don't know anyone who specializes in these types of medical problems.

I still don't know if this is caused by excessive masturbation, prone masturbation or some other type of injury, and making an appointment is very expensive and takes a few months for each consultation, so I gave up.

The scary thing is that I learn more from random people from the internet than from the medical specialists.

That's crazy, I think maybe I discovered it about 2 years ago, or even longer, I didn't think much about it at first, or that it should feel like that, silly huh?

Every few months or so I suddenly realize that my dick is never going to get better and I come back here for support. It sucks. This has really destroyed my life. I was in good shape, confident, and then one night I went to masturbate and realized I couldn’t feel anything. The urologists said everything was fine, the neurologist said there wasn’t really anything he could do, just like your situation, and it could take up to 5 years max to heal. Well it’s been about 5 and a half. I still haven’t gotten a girlfriend and have almost no interest in pursuing women because I know sex isn’t going to feel that good. (I know women are about more than sex but I’m salty I never got to experience it when things were functional.)

I refuse to let myself fully accept that this may never get better, because that means I’ll have to go the rest of my life with this. The thought of that makes me want to end it. So I just have to distract myself constantly. I’ve gotten much better about it recently, but every once in a while it hits me like a ton of bricks.

Stay strong, man. We’re in this together, in a way

I keep holding out that maybe if I can just abstain long enough it will start to heal. But it’s been 5 and a half years. The last time I masturbated before I noticed the numbness, I pressed in to my perineum from the outside because I read that you could massage your prostate that way. So maybe I damaged the pudendal nerve from doing that? But it didn’t hurt or anything. Doesn’t matter at this point since it’s not gonna fucking heal. Unless maybe I stop sitting down so much?

I hate being this much of a downer. Having a numb dick will do that to ya I guess. Luckily I can still ejaculate and have kids though so I guess I have to look on the bright side.
