You are not very clear about her reasons. Porn isn't sex. It is sexual stimulation but not sex. If you link met her argument maybe I can be better informed.

I also think you might misunderstand her, but without the argumentation, it's hard to tell. It is not actual sexual urges, but more the urge to escape from reality, as it is typical for any addiction. Recognizing this can be very helpful for recovery, as you will notice how you don't need to have lots of sex to replace your porn use, but rather connect with the world and your surroundings again. It can also be liberating to notice how you don't need to necessarily act out on the weird fetishes you like in porn, and how you might not even like them in reality. Porn has to do with sex, though, but in the sense that it may ruin the real thing. Some people act out, too. And yeah, may be also sexual urges play a role for why you "choose" porn as your drug and not something different, but I believe escapism is the main reason. Sexuality might run very deep in the human psyche, though, and not only be about sex when you look at it in a holistic manner.

 

It starts with the eye and fantasies and sexual stimulation, it's a virtual orgie, it's the poisonous kind of sex, similar to the 'casual' sex. There is sex out of marriage and there is sex in marriage. Sex has been perverted to destroy us, porn is just an advertisement for people.
