PMO messes with your brain (and your true potential)

I believe that because of my PMO addiction, I'm not able to get ideas for movies and for things, I'm not able to be confident in myself and in what I do, and I stress out easily. I believe PMO messes up your brain, and I wanna put an end to it. This way, I can open my pineal gland, be more happy, get more creative, and be more knowledgeable of things. Any thoughts?

I am with you on this journey. For the past ten years or so, I've been accustomed to this lifestyle and I am now beginning to reap the repercussions of watching pornography every single day. I remember a few years ago, I went to see my doctor for a routinely check-up and asked if it was normal to have a decrease in libido in your 20s and he kind of laughed and said absolutely not because of the great physical shape that I was in. He even argued that my drive should be at it's peak, especially if I don't condone to a lifestyle of drugs and alcohol.

It's a very difficult journey, because I've studied psychology during my undergrad. I was fascinated by the idea of Freudian psychology when it was theorized that the average male thinks about sex at least... 5-9 times a day. Every time that I think about the activity in itself, I find the temptations coming on stronger and stronger to resist the urge to watch some form of X-rated entertainment. It doesn't help that social media advertises sex all the time. Open Instagram and you'll find the urge to overcome so much temptation.

It sucks, though. Because i was an addict since I was 7 (I'm 15 currently) and I've developed an addiction to masturbating and to watching girls peeing :(. But thanks for your support, man, I really appreciate it. The media always push sex because the "elite" want everyone to think that sex is everything.

It's difficult, but I've done it before. But every time that I feel discontent or stressed about something in life -- I keep relapsing. Which prompted me to become a new member to this forum. I believe I can do this again. We all take great losses in our personal lives, however, this is a personal battle for all of us. It's best to overcome these urges and find some form of hobby to resist these kinds of thoughts.

I remember stumbling a upon a video on YouTube about serial killers, I forgot who they were interviewing... But the prisoner was a man who had a notorious record of homicide. Anyhow, in the video he concluded that the FBI did an intense research study on homicidal behavior and how it concluded to pornography addiction. I'm not insinuating that just... anyone can become a serial killer, but it had me thinking.

Since you're 15, you have so much to look forward to in life. When I was your age, I was already in a relationship with a girlfriend at the time and the purpose of pornography was to give her and I, ideas to spice up our sex life (I lost my virginity at 13). You're at an age where you're constantly at a journey of social discovery. Immerse yourself in your studies and find the opportunity/excuse to socialize with the opposite sex. You will be surprised about how many of my friends who are in their 20s who pay hundreds of dollars to "learn how to socialize" with women with these, "dating/pick-up secrets." I was never afraid to socialize with girls of all ages when I was your age. Please take the time to think about it.

Don't be someone like myself, who lives inside their head and ASSUMES that no girls would ever like a guy like myself. In reality, I can't remember the last time I socialized with a girl for more than 5 minutes without finding an excuse to leave a conversation because I felt so self-conscious of the fact that I imagining her naked.

Yes my friend pmo does mess ppl up but theres hope.Been doing it since I was 12 (25 now) and it takes you down a path that you might think is normal but it's not.It alters the way you're actually supposed to see life, keeps you back.Im on only day 8 no pmo and wow I feel amazing.I deleted all social media apps, all p. from my phone, avoid shows that might have triggers on tv and music.Excersice will help greatly,it doesnt matter how slow you are it WILL help. Also look for God for he is great and has helped me alot in this hard moment in life and will take away any evil temptations in your heart that might get you back in the wrong path.Trust me friend, for we are powerful beyond measure.Have a blessed day
