    Hey guys! I want to ask something which is bothering me alot. So this wierd thing is happening to me whenever I am on nofap even if it's a small streak, I start having these flashbacks of people who have hurt me and insulted me and it affects me alot because it's in the past I don't want to remember these things but I keep remembering all the things which has hurted me in the past. And whenever I pmo it just vanishes. Can anyone tell why is this happening to me, is this some kind of withdrawal of nofap. Please feel free to answer.

    Pmo keeps us at a surface level of consciousness. When we abstain for a while then feelings held in the subconscious start to rise into our conscious awareness.

    Same thing happens to me. My mindset towards this flashback issue is that the porn/the devil is trying to use the bad memories to get us to watch porn again in order to feel safe. Its just the devil trying to make our life worse. Dont listen to the voices/memories too much. They will go away with time. Improving your life will also allow you to forgive yourself for all the bad things you did. Study, train hard, take cold showers, read the Bible and so on. Try to get better.

    Excellent take. The devil will do anything to get you to go back. We just have to remember that anything he says is nothing but a false promise.
