Alright boys i need some help with this one. Heres my story. First was exposed to porn at a friend's house all the way back in 4th grade(dirty magazine) and became sexually active with my first gf at age 11. By age 13 i had internet at home and learned how to access porn. Throughout my teenage years and early 20s i was having sex and viewing porn and masturbating regularly. Around the age of 27 i suddenly started becoming less aroused at the view of porn and sex in general. I started having trouble maintaining an erection and during sex i wouldnt last as long and once i finished i didnt wanna do it again. I thought for sure it was testosterone related because around the age of 22 i used steroids so i had convinced myself that i must have messed myself up. I went to the doctor and got labwork and turns out i did in fact have low testosterone however not super low. The "normal" range is 300-1000 and i was 400. A healthy guy in his mid 20s however should be in the 700s. Eventually i got on testosterone replacement therapy which definitely helped my physique in the gym and my energy levels and got my numbers from 400 to 1000. I also noticed stronger erections however that general desire or libido you know that gut feeling of being horny had not returned. By age 28 i was on testosterone therapy experimenting with my doses. Alittle more, alittle less etc trying to enhance my sex drive. Guess how i would test it? PORN lol so i was viewing porn and masturbating all the time trying to see what kind of my response i would get thinking my testosterone levels were not right. I have also noticed that before when i didnt have this issue, i would view porn and become extemely aroused and erect without doing anything whereas now i have to watch something i had to really like and concentrate on it to become aroused and even masturbate in a flaccid state to become erect. Im 33 now and my sex life has not been the same since i was id say 26. Im trying to get that desire back and after all these years and blood tests etc i amconvinced that my dopamine reward center must be damaged from the excessive masturbating and porn use. I am currently doing nofap and i am over a month in. Id say 45-50 days in something like that. I have literally 0 sexual desire now. Not that i had very much before but now i got like nothing lol as u guys call it the flatline. Can anyone throw some opinions my way? Does it sound like i am yet another victim of too much porn? Does my situation sound similar to any of yours? Help me out lads!!

you're injecting testosterone, your levels are above 1000 ng/dl and you have no libido/sexual drive?
that's the craziest thing I've ever read here
porn is worse than we could've ever imagined

I understand that totally. I was in the same situation and still 0 libido. I found Nofap and immediately realized this may be my problem. I’m on day 40 and still flatlining since the beginning although I don’t have the “dead dick syndrome” anymore and have noticed slight erections over night. Libido is still missing though.

Yea I get my blood checked every 6 months. About 5 years ago I had a doctor put me on trt without learning about my lifestyle. I was competing in men’s physique competitions and dieting to extremely low levels of body fat.

No I haven’t been on it for 3 years... I was on for 1.5 years until another doc questioned and I learned that I never really needed it. T levels are normal now for a 36 year old.

Yeah guys testosterone is definitely not the issue. Im pretty damn sure this is a dopamine issue. I used to think it was only testosterone until i got on TRT and my sex drive didnt really improve. Also ive been dealing with anxiety really bad right around the same time my libido dropped so im sure all of this is related. Ive read plenty of stories on here about normal otherwise healthy young men doing nofap and going into a flatline. Its not testosterone its some kind of issue in the brain. Luckily according to all the stuff i been reading doing nofap should be the cure all. Being on testosterone is great tho. Even if my sex drive is down i still have good energy levels and get good results in the gym and generally feel healthier. Once i get my libido back ill be good

Right now no lt really. Sometimes i wake up with an erection but not fully hard. I can get erect if i jerk off long enough but i dont have that natural libido that causes a natural boner. Like i need constant stimulation to remain erect. When i viewed porn i would have to look at exactly what i wanted and focus on it to get horny to MO. back in the day i needed to concentrate to NOT be horny lol you see my issue? Lol

@SLeepisLost How do you explain a guy with high testosterone levels yet with zero libido?

why did you ask the question "Low T" in the title if you're on TRT which means you don't have low T and your testosterone levels are, as you said, around 1000 ng/dl (through the roof basically)?

  20. Well the OP did not really post this other blood panel levels like estradiol, SHBG and dihydrotestosteron. Could be informing for us to know those levels as well.

You can have the highest androgen/anabolic steroid levels in the world, but if your reward circuit is out of whack by not projection enough dopamine from the ventral tegmental area to the nucleus accumbens / striatum, or the brain does not have enough density of the dopamine receptors in the reward circuit. Could be because of an addiction or clinical depression. But without enough dopamine stimulation you still can't feel aroused with even extreme steroid hormone levels in your blood.

Feeling alpha and aroused by having high testosteron and dihydrotestosteron is not possible if the dopaminergic pathways and receptors are desensitized. Androgens/anabolics steroids only really make you feel "alpha" because they work synergistically with dopamine. (Neurosteroids derived from dihydrotestosteron can also increase libido and "alpha" feelings tho)

Anyway you can still build muscle with high test levels ofcourse, but you will not really get that confident feeling and libido without the help of dopamine. My advice is to do a hardmode reboot and stay away from too stimulating activities (gambling, drugs, porn, sex, orgasm etc.) and don't increase dopamine levels to a too high level.
