Ped or not

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by CasualMe95, Oct 24, 2013.

  1. How do I find out if I really suffer from PED?
The girls that I've had sex with have been one night stand and fuckbuddies, not a real girlfriend, I had no feelings or emotions for the girls.

I thought I might suffer from PED because I've been unable to reach climax when I had sex. But could it just have been that I didn't find it exiting because I didn't feel anything for the woman? it sounds weird that I cannot orgasm during sex but I'm starting to think more about if it could just have been so easy that I didn't have any feelings for them?
I had no problem getting a boner but I had to force the orgasm when they literally jerked me off.
I rather not start a real relationship with a girl thinking I'm ok and then finding out that I had PED. In that case I rather cure the PED so I can enjoy normal sex when it happens.

Help! what do you guys think?
Should I consider staying away from both fapping and porn in case I've got PED or can I just continue my normal life without worrying?

Unless you are on some kind of medication that give complications, you should consider the "not climaxing" as a mental/emotional thing.

So I suggest looking more in the direction of emotional connection and expression.

Sex is seldom that great the first time, so don't worry about performance at ONS. Count them out.

Fuckbuddies - well, as you said, the girls meant nothing to you.

I'd say DO NOT stay away from relationships. On the contrary, I'd say that's eventually the CURE. (Though of course still might take some time).

(And you can still give them satisfaction since you have erection. It's not THAT bad).

And yes, stay on the NoFap journey. Porn fapping just gets you further into fantasy land and away from real connections. (Plus, if you jerk off a lot, your dick gets less sensitive to the (more gentle) feeling of a pussy and a mouth).

  3. No, I am not on any kind of medication.

Yea I believe a relationship is one kind of a cure aswell.

Yea, I have no problem giving them orgasms and they really enjoyed it. Though I was unable to climax.

So yes, they get satisfaction which is great, but I would like to orgasm too while having sex with a woman.

Thats true, more fapping means less sensitive dick and therefore harder to actually feel the real connection.

  4. I'd suggest giving the 90 days a try. Even if you aren't a full-blown addict, you never know what other aspects of your emotional self are being hindered by PMO. Even going 15-20 days can give you a glimpse at what your true self really is.

I'm just saying this because PED is what finally lead me to consider that I am addicted, and I thought that was the only thing to be cured by doing a reboot. After about 2 weeks I noticed there were more things that go beyond sex which also get cured, including (for me at least), depression, anxiety and ADHD-like symptoms.

  5. Well, I do believe that I am a porn addict. But I'm not sure if that is the cause of my ED or if it simply is that I had no feelings for the women I has sex with.
But its true what you are saying, I might discover even more/ greater things from just staying away from PMO altogether.

And yes, I will give it a try because over the last...year I haven't been able to stay away from either for more than 10days. Most pobably because I've had a tough time this year.
I wanna see what a real reboot actually gives me.

And for the record, its probably better to stay away from it in general for having a greater experience when the real connection actually happens.

  6. Very true, the connection is much stronger and deeper when you're off the PMO mindset. Good luck, man!

  7. Didn't know that (mostly because I've never experienced it). Thanks!
    Good luck to you too!

Btw, how do you get your counter under your text?

  8. Just click on it. It'll redirect you to a site where you can configure it to your liking.

  9. I'm afraid that's gonna be easier said than done for me.
    I'm not very technical.

  10. click on my green bar, on the next page, you can fill out a form with how you want your counter to read out. So if you want to set the goal for 10 days, put that. Also, when you relapse you have to reset the counter. It helps you stay accountable.

After you're done filling out the info it will give you a block of text. Copy this. Then go to "settings" on the top right hand side. Once there, on the left hand side will be a black box labeled "my settings". Under that column is "edit signature". Paste that block of text into your signature and save it. Now every time you post you'll see the counter.

  11. Thanks, very helpful!

  12. Does it take equally as long time for the penis to get used to the more sensitive feeling of a vagina/ mouth as it takes for the brain to reset from porn?

Hmmm - I don't know - that's probably individual. Although connected, it is two different phenomena.

In my own experience, my "sensitivity" has to do with two things:

    1) My "response" to the woman
    2) My "treatment" of my dick in recent time.

  14. Ok, well this s**t got to stop anyway.
Yday was a massive wake up of what happens when you do fap compared to when you don't.

  15. Can I reboot by only watching porn and stop fapping?
Or do I need to stop with both? Alternative only stop porn.

  16. You need to cut both out. I believe a guy tried experimenting by masturbating to porn only once a week, but watching it for several hours everyday without climaxing. The result was increased anxiety and frustration, so the porn itself is fundamental to the problem.

Masturbating but cutting out porn is a little weird. For me, I have to go cold turkey because when I MO- EVEN without any fantasy- I tend to just get a wave of urges to PMO anyways. I think sexual starvation might be the most advantageous, even though it's psychologically tougher.

  17. Ok, Then I will give up on both.
    Or atleast try.

Yea, I've tested that too and it didn't do much good.
Always want to go back to porn or fantasies from extreme urges.
