    Hello everyone,

I thought I would write this to find out if anyone has had any experiences like me and particularly if anyone had wet dreams during a very long flatline (6 months plus) and had them stop.

I am 24 years old and on a 44 month streak (No relapse) however I typically experience a wet dream on average between 1-3 weeks (but sometimes sooner). About 30 days into the streak, I had my first wet dream, this literally put me in a state of constant fatigue, brainfog and anxiety. It's been 44 months I have shown no sign of improvement and still get wet dreams which trigger urges.

From my research, I have gathered that people have very different experiences from withdrawal, sometimes wet dreams do not affect them but like me they can be pretty brutal.

The reason I believe the wet dreams are at fault is because I had previously done a six month streak (before my current 44 month) and I had zero wet dreams and noticed significant improvements, such as my anxiety clearing and not feeling knackered 24/7.

Before anyone comments any bs about meditating, that stuff does not work. I am very healthy, I eat clean, go gym and have a fulfilling career, so please do not comment saying I need to do cold showers or any of that crap.

I am really writing this article to identify if anyone else had a long flatline with wet dreams and if eventually they stopped (more than six months). Another note, is that I experienced PAWS from quitting coffee, it took me like 5 months of withdrawal compared to the average 30 days for regular people.

If I was to give advice from my multiple experiences of quitting porn its this:
    • The sooner/younger you quit, the better. The withdrawal symptoms are less severe and the duration of recovery is significantly shorter.
    • If you have anxiety/erectile dysfunction/depression, its probably a result of your porn addiction, do not go to your doctor for some magic pill.
    • Recovery is 100% about abstinence, not meditation or cold showers or going to the gym.
    • Relapsing will pretty much set you back to square 1 (unless you've been clean for multiple years).
    Any input is appreciated.

Wet dreams will never stop, at least not until you are much older or are ejaculating consciously and although you feel the effects from them, they shouldn't prevent you from recovering. You should post in the PAWS thread, there are many in there in a similar situation and your posts would be of great value.

Cold showers temporarily relieve my PAWS symptoms and make it possible get through the day. I also found that a regular prayer and meditation practice is necessary for me. Other things that worked to relieve symptoms were psilocybin and TRE. Hope this helps.

Congrats on your long streak! I am on 160 days in a row with heavy PAWS symptoms that come and go.

There is no scientific evidence when it comes to wet dreams, but a large majority of people believe that wet dreams are the result of sexual desire within the unconscious mind. In other words, underlying sexual thoughts are what contribute to the occurrence of wet dreams.

I have never heard of the soaring eagle. Can you provide a link, potentially anything to do with wetdreams?

I finally found a translated version, the guide to stop wet dreams by the soaring eagle is “Hands climbing feet sturdies the kidney and
the waist”. I will give this a go over the next few months. Hopefully it all works out.

Please watch a youtube video on the exercise if your unsure, I have copied the original text below for anyone else.

The method that I would teach everyone is: just do one of the movement from the Eight Brocade
exercises, the one that targets nocturnal emissions “Hands climbing feet sturdies the kidney and
the waist”. Persist in executing this movement properly, which means to find that stretchy feeling,
it’s important to have that correct feeling. When we are doing this movement we should feel the
bladder meridian line being stretched tighter, straightened and lengthened like a rubber band.
Once we have found this feeling we need to intensify it like tightening the screws of the essence
gate. Every day I would perform this movement 500 times before I go to bed I would do it 200
times. I would strongly recommend doing this exercise before bed which is likened to putting a
lock on the essence gate. If you do not do this before going to bed then we might experience
nocturnal emissions, this is because the essence gate might not be properly secured which can
only be secured by performing this movement. However we must take care to not overstrain
ourselves while doing this exercise, otherwise, the overtraining may lead to nocturnal emission,
we should pay close attention to this. In the beginning, many people lack the foundations, other
people may have a poor physical condition, therefore we do not need to do many repetitions in
the beginning. We could, for example, start from 30 repetitions, or do them in sets, 60
repetitions may be divided into 3 sets with 20 per set and a minute of rest between the sets. The
second day we do this we may experience pain or discomfort in the body, we only need to rest
for a couple days to return to normal and then continue from where we left off and we will not
experience further discomfort in the body.
