Over 50 and want to rid Porn forever

I’ve been on nofap previously and posted a fair bit, but stopped over time. Although I have had various streaks from one week to approximately a month. Although when I was posting regularly on nofap I managed 30 days a couple of times.

I’m on a small streak of one week at present. I’ve kept a journal and noticed similar patterns. One week is obviously not enough and I’ve had severe mental problems which have stopped me from sleeping. It’s been mentally exhausting and really want to find peace by giving up porn for good. So I’m going to start posting more frequently.

The porn habit started after finding my Dad’s collection and it’s embarrassing that over 50 years I’m still clinging on to it. I know from past experience that giving up this habit really changes ones inner world, which in turn changes the outer.

The sheer suffering I’ve encountered through is almost incomprehensible. I’m truly tired and torn as a person. My wife listens and is supportive which certainly helps. Although shouldn’t be taken for granted.

So this is week one.

 

No urges at all. Week one I always find this. Doesn’t even cross my mind. It’s week 3 where one becomes happy to a degree and then complacent.
