I am living in Pakistan and the people here believe on emotions rather than facts and evidence (in a nutshell they have victim mentality). I am on day 15 currently and just realized that most of the members of my family are shitty, manipulative and liars. I am telling their weaknesses and faults on their faces and they cry, talk shit behind my back and act like victims but on my face they act like they love me. However there are family members who are rational and well educated and i like to talk to them only. I want to get out of this shitty environment where my own family is divided and defending fake and liars. But i have 1-2 years of study remaining till then i can't move anywhere else. My own family is hating me for this new behavior on Nofap, they just want my old self who PMO'd. They say that you are acting like a mental patient and have anger all the time, however they aren't recognizing their own faults. That makes me want to question myself should i go on this journey ahead or PMO just for the sake that they love me, it is hurting me from inside that most of my family members aren't talking to me. It's like i am on one side and they are on others.

First of all, in societies like these, families are really close and child is not free like in western world, so bro, u gotta understand their point of view aswell, your mother , your father are obviously seeing a change in your behaviour so they are worried, If you want freedom, fine leave the house and live alone but as long as you live in their house, you must respect them.
You are right that these societies are like this but they want me to bow down before them every time as if i am wrong all the time and people are just plain assholes, victims and cowards which is making Nofap journey a lot difficut. My dad is very rational and a great man.

Generation gap. Generally families upcoming from a primitive thinking to the modern age do have this problem. Sometimes it happens because of religious beliefs or sometimes due to educational differences etc. Key to adjust in such society. 1) Keep your mouth shut and just listen. 2) Take what you feel right and follow it. Their is no harm in following some religious beliefs if they dont harm others or yourself. 3) Never let people change your mindset. Listen everyone but do whatever the fuck you were going to do.
