    I am on day 16.

Can the urges you get from pmo manifest into other dopamine destroying habits?

    Has anyone experience this?

I find myself eating & vaping more and spending more time on the screen.

And I feel like it's hindering my progress as I am pretty certain the key was discipline and not just nofap itself that made me feel better in the 1st place.

    Yes. 100% it can.

I experienced and still experience this problem and it has delayed my progress for sure.

It manifests as a longer reboot. A much much longer reboot. I started recovering slightly before the world went into lockdown for COVID. I had freshly beat my P addiction and started spending time online gaming with the guys and going on social media. It was a way to burn time while in lockdown. My brain was fresh from getting rid of a habit and I unsuspectingly replaced it with these activities.

I am not saying you can’t online game or browse the internet, but you want to moderate your usage carefully.

The most important thing that I realised is that withdrawal symptoms have nothing to do with low dopamine for me. It’s about using things like PMO, gaming, social media, alcohol etc to numb myself to negative emotions that I don’t want to feel. This is why when you stop these habits you feel like absolute crap. Your symptoms are the result of depressed emotions not being processed and the body simply trying to make you aware of this fact.

This is an unpopular theory on this forum but after recovering for the past 3.5 years I would swear by it.

I'm not an expert, but this hurting your body, so I would advise against it.

There is still some debate on this, but the consensus seems to be that we all spend too much time on our screens. I would advise getting off your devices as much as you can. There are lots of cool real things to do with cool real people.
