yea, this is strange. I've obsessed with staying clean. It means that I've always wanted a clean streak. And this causes me to relapse everytime I see a triggers (sexy pictures, etc.) even if it is unintentional. Everytime I saw a sexy picture of my friend that triggers me, my mind was like 'I promised to stay clean, and now it isn't clean anymore. So just relapse, finish it off, reset my counter, and start a new streak.' And the problem is the triggers are everywhere. Almost everyday I found those kind of pics. How to fix this mindset? This causes me to relapse everytime. thx.

    1) Find an accountability partner who will help you decide if you actually broke it or not.

    2) Research scrupulosity. The Wikipedia blurb on the google search page defines it as, "Scrupulosity is characterized by pathological guilt about moral or religious issues. It is personally distressing, objectively dysfunctional, and often accompanied by significant impairment in social functioning."

Just because you got triggered by something it does not mean that you have to take actions like fapping to it.

There will be always temptations and you control how you act upon them. This seems more like excuse to fap but who knows.

Seeing something that could be a trigger isn't a relapse or reset. I started watching an anime, and during the "commercial break" it showed a cute/sexy drawing of one of the main characters. Previous self would've looked up a rule 34 of it, and I imagined that because of the years of conditional trailing. To me, now in my reboot, had I actually looked up that 34, that would've been a relapse/reset in my opinion, but simply seeing the picture that would've sent me down that path, is not one. Hope that makes sense.

I like all posts above..my idea might sound a little trivial, but how about just wiring off for a couple of days!? You can commit to not watch tv for a week. Go out more to nature and don't let the media disturb you on your healing trip. Take a distance from all the distractions like TV, PC.

You can. That's what I try to do anyway, but any form of entertainment or anything can be a trigger. Seeing a hot girl go by or shopping and seeing ads. It's just a matter of brain control and preventing prolonged thoughts. You'll always get sexual urges when you see things. That's just what happens when you have testicles, but you get to choose whether or not your brain thinks of those things to an unhealthy point, or you switch your thoughts to something else.
