Day 15: didn't snooze Day 16: didn't snooze My pattern is still the same. After my alarm I go back to bed and scroll a bit on my phone for an hour. Not the best way to start the day but it is still better than snoozing. I don't get into that bottomless pit of snoozing and eventually waking up at 11 am. If I do wake up before my alarm, I will likely go back to sleep. I'm easy on myself with this...
Took off the snooze function for the waking up alarm a few weeks ago. Still 2/5 days from Monday - Friday, I snooze mentally I guess and play the game of waking up 30 min later or an hour later. But it’s gotten a lot better!
Day 19: didn't snooze Day 20: snoozed I snoozed today. I ate a lot of food that were high in carbs and gluten yesterday (pasta and pancakes) and that usually makes me lethargic, even the next day. I will look at this as a little fallback in this journey.
Day 22: snoozed This weekend was a bit unhealthy. I smoked some cigarettes, ate a lot of food that are high in processed carbs and didn't really exercise. I notice that 'vice leads to more vice' and entails a weaker state of willpower. It's when you make one stupid decision and then you lose your momentum. However, I didn't drink or watch porn. This also made it harder not to snooze. Minor slip up.
Day 23: didn't snooze Tried to increase my sleep quality by shutting down screens 1h+ before sleep. Since I'm also on a digital detox, I didn't scroll Twitter after my alarm went off. I realize now what a toxic habit that was. I still don't succeed to just directly start my day after the alarm goes off. Instead I go rest a bit more, but no sleep. I'm not being to hard on myself but this is something I have to work on. However, I see have noticed some mental improvements since I'm not snoozing anymore. I'm just going to leave this here: study finds that pistachios contain a lot of melatonin. I'm going to eat some pistachios before going to bed from now on as they allegedly help you fall asleep.
Day 24: snoozed Was too tired so I granted myself some more sleep after my alarm went off... Anyway, sleep quality is improving since I quit alcohol
Haven't updated in a while and have snoozed a lot the last days. I reallocated to my home country so I granted myself a good sleep in today but I will try this NoSnooze challenge again from a clean slate
