NoFap when down with cold or flu - strategies?

    Do you guys have any tips for resisting urges when you have a cold or flu? I have a stinking case of man flu at the moment and it has made me realised that illness provides some of the biggest tests when NoFap. Since I'm at home resting after pushing myself through the last couple of days at work, I'm not really going out to exercise or do yoga this weekend, and am limiting the amount I push myself to socialise (am going out a bit, but I can hardly offer myself the incentive of going to meet girls when I'm feeling like a walking mucus machine). This means my confidence and willpower are much lower than they would be when healthy and I'm fighting off urges left, right and centre. Also finding my mind pushes up insecurities and thoughts of exes that I no longer have anything to do with a lot more when I'm ill due to the temporary lack of confidence and drive. Has anyone found any good strategies for pushing through to the other side of an illness without relapsing?

    Today it's a double-whammy as well because I'm also kind of hungover from a big party at work yesterday evening. It was totally worth going, though - partly to catch up with all sorts of people I haven't seen in ages, partly because I managed to arrange to hang out with the cute girl who used to work as a receptionist with us even while coughing into my cocktail - go superpowers! But this morning was tough. I find that at weekends, especially when hungover or ill, the urges are strongest before I've showered and gotten dressed - the only way I was able to shake them off today was just to get on with my morning and get fully dressed, and now they're back under control again.

    That is the toughest thing to do in that situation. I didn't make it when i was sick two months ago. But what helped me deal with some injuries is focusing on being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
    Also focus on getting well - take a bath, drink teas and whatever that keeps you busy and helps at the same time, and don't drink alcohol...

    I'm in the exact same boat, came down with something yesterday evening which completely threw me, today I relapsed three times in binges. I just completely lost focus.

    When you go to a party you need to do a 2 drink maximum. Alcohol lowers your will power. Anything over too drinks will just get you into trouble.

    + make some soup, rewatch some movies, go for walks, take naps, and don't fap! This is your testing ground.

    Preach. Thanks guys! I agree with trying to drink as little as possible, although so far since starting NoFap it's not been while I've been drunk that I've been tested, it's the hangover the day after... something about the brain being completely depleted of dopamine and crying out for a fix, I guess. Not hungover anymore anyway, so that eliminates one problem from the equation, and 2 weeks as of today!

    I actually got pretty sick about a month into my reboot. The interesting thing was I actually felt better being sick than I did the week before dealing with all the MO withdrawl symptoms.

    I had the flu for 10 days and the combination of boredom plus the need of staying in the house and rest made me PMO. From this experience i would recommend putting some filters on your computer and if you don't have to go out do a marathon of your favorite TV show which will keep you occupied. Also the drugs i was on 5-6 drugs which made me numb and really sleepy.
