In the past, i have tried nofap several times. At one point i got to 5 weeks, which is quite long for me. But over time, i felt disillusioned with the whole idea of it. I started to notice that there are many situations in my life over which i have no control, and then i was wondering why i should have to do nofap. For example right now i'm in a situation where i live in a student appartment with one room mate who is really nice, but he told me that he might leave soon for another room. Then i can choose a new room mate, but i am stressed out that i won't be able to find a new room mate since people might not want to move with all te covid restrictions in place. So i was wondering if nofap is still beneficial to me in this situation

Yes it is. You should not worry about things not in your control but that is dramatically different than giving up on something that is in your control. Seems to me you're feeling anxious about your situation but I wouldn't worry about it, covid literally isn't a big deal and those who aren't afraid would gladly be your roommate.

  3. Not trying to be insensitive or anything, but just from reading your paragraph it sounds like you're trying to make excuses. The two topics of nofap and a potentially moving roommate make zero sense to me. Like, they're completely unrelated. Your reasoning sounds so illogical from an objective perspective. NoFap will never not be beneficial to you. No matter what the situation. It's just that your anxiety / stress levels are hijacking your mind and impairing your judgment. It may all sound logical to you, like this could really be a valid reason to ditch nofap. But it really isn't. And I guarantee you, should you give in to this, you will arrive at the same conclusion later on in hindsight.
