No situation is so bad that...
relapsing can't make it worse.
Usually the reason for relapse is negative feelings, perhaps something bad has happened that makes you feel quite shitty, maybe even horrible, and your mind immediately looks for a fix, just the thought of using again brings calm and "serenity" to your mind, your brain screams in pain, it begs, it cries. It says that everything is the worst and the only thing to make things better is using again. But everything is not the worse, everything is fine, even if it feels bad at the moment - everything passes, even the bad feelings you have at the moment, even the urges screaming and begging, they all pass. BUT. if you do make the choice to relapse just know that it will only make the feelings worse, whatever you were feeling earlier will soon be much worse, because there is no situation that is so bad that relapsing can't make it worse.
