Newbie taking 1 year challenge

    Hey guys - I'm Sam, m, 24.

    What started off as feeling like a rather harmless habbit has become a significant drain on my time and energy, and my grades as well, being completely honest.

    I have an amazing family and without my parents' support especially, really I wouldn't have even made it to Uni. - most likely I'd be stuck in some dead end job and I wouldn't have life nearly as good as I do now. I mean my Dad was working 3 jobs pulling 6 day work weeks to send me cash so I didn't have to work whilst studying.
    It's only lately that I've really come to appreciate how much both my parents sacrificed for me and as much as I owe it to myself to have an awesome life, I could never forgive myself if I wasted all they've given to me.

    And it's not that I think porn is intrinsically bad but I think there's sure as hell more to life so..

    Rules of the game: 365 day reboot no PM + no actively daydreaming/fantasizing.

    big challenge & only 1 day under my belt lol but super stoked and confident now I've found this community!

    You are highly motivated which will stand you in good stead. How far into the porn and masturbation swamp did you go? :oops: What do you think it will take when your body is craving masturbation and your favourite porn stars and scenes or fetishes?

    Yeah it wasn't great - if I was stressed could be as bad as once or twice a day.
    Re. beating cravings, my plan's to be super accountable. I'm thinking of telling some of my friends that I've started nofap.. could be interesting :)

    I like you motivation bro, just know its not an easy path youve chosen but the benefits are there. Getting support is really important if you know your friend well they could be really good allies. Also you should start yourself a log kn the log section just pick your age group and start a new tread. No need to write a novel everyday, just small entries everyday. It will let you kearn from your mistake and or sucess. Its also a great place fir us to give you support. Tcheck out my journal for an exemple. Anyway stay strong bro
