    Hi All,

I am male. Age 26. Never had a girlfriend nor a sex life (without escorts). I used to make out with girls but I don't ever go out now. I have no friends and I'm lonely. Hence how I developed the porn and masturbation addiction plus the regular use of escorts (no often for actual sex).

It's time I changed my sexual behaviours and habits. Please help to guide me in getting started with NoFap. I am glad to see that we are all in this together. I am happy to provide support where I can once I am a bit more experienced with NoFap. I am interested in hearing how your experiences with NoFap are tracking. I could do with some inspiration. Could do with an accountability partner if anyone else is available? What are some of your strategies for coping with life without fapping?

I am looking forward to the challenges that the NoFap journey presents. I currently watch porn and masturbate once every day for about 1 hour (been this way for many years now) so it will be quite a big change for me. One that I am very much looking forward to. Although, the thought of a final 'fap' is a little daunting. Nevertheless, I believe that I am ready. This is it. Here I go!

Hello, welcome to the community. It will be difficult to quit PMO, but not impossible. Every time you are about to relapse, you can hit the panic button on the top right corner of your screen. Good luck...

  6. Welcome here! Since I've been active in the NoFap community I've been feeling very positive about quitting the PMO cycle for good. My main advice is to stay positive and to refrain from putting yourself down when you're feeling weak, because beating yourself up will only make things worse, and increase your chances of relapse. We need to encourage each other! All the best to you on our journey to health and recovery! :)

Thank you all very much for your kind words of encouragement. I am feeling positive and very excited about the journey ahead. Just a quick couple of questions: I haven't stopped yet and I'm not sure how to go about it. Kind of freaks me out a little. Should I have one 'final fap' or just not think about it and start whenever? Also, should I aim to stop for say 1 week, then try again to stop for two weeks, or just aim to stop for as long as I can right away?

Gosh, this is a big leap here. It is hard to imagine life without fapping and porn. I'm focused and determined I just want to feel confident that I know what I'm doing once I quit.

Well I have tried and failed several times before but this time I am doing so much better. Just stop and go for it if you let yourself go back to it even just once it’s hard to stop again

  10. I would say stop right away, and tell yourself you're stopping for good, but it's always going to be one day at a time. Emphasizing the "forever" part of quitting forever can be overwhelming. Do the challenges: 7-day, 14-day, etc., to take it in little chunks, but also try to focus on telling yourself every morning why you want this, and telling yourself every morning, "I can make it through today." :)
