First thing I would like to do is thank Alexander and everyone associated with this site for your time and efforts in trying to address PMO. I am hopeful that this site can change my life.

I have been fighting PMO since I was 12 or so. Fifty years later the struggle continues. I have tried multiple approaches; counseling, SA, For Men Only, Covenant Eyes, etc. It has been exhausting. I am now retired and am faced with much more alone time which has always been a major trigger. For me it has always been a private, fantasy based process. I have never taken it outside my home. I am ready to take the 1st step and reboot. I look forward to getting assistance from this community.

    Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

Maybe my "What's working" link, below, will help? Keep coming back!

Thank you for taking the time to send this to me. It is a well thought out list. Many of the items are not new to me after 50 yrs of this addiction. I will definitely use this to motivate.

I'm 47, and first saw porn around 40 years ago. Struggled in my early teens, found the internet at age 30. It has been a monkey on my back for a lifetime, and thr internet accelerated it.

Pornography led me to objectify women, and led me to waste a lot of time.

But - I am now 120 days without PMO. (porn, masturbation, orgasm). I'm not struggling to get through it either , - I'm free. I can handle the urges when they do hit, because I know how to direct them.

My struggle now is different- I'm struggling with life- and what I put off for life - but each day I rebuild the life that I set aside for so many years.

    HOPE!!!!

Thanks for sharing. It is a challenge for those of us who have been at it for so long. Great to hear from someone who has 120 days. It is doable. Agreed it has been such a huge waste of time, time we can now use for much better purposes.
